My best friend said, "we are skiers." I wasn't really sure and not feeling it after a two year Covid layoff and the Quarantine 15. Yet, my new Dynastar M-Pro 90's said I needed to head to Taos, New Mexico and rediscover my joy of the mountains. Our sights were on the top and we climbed to the Highline Ridge to test the steeps, the chutes, and the powder. The Highline still had it...and yep, it was better than I remembered due to the M-Pro 90's. These skis have just the right amount of float in deep powder and can handle the chop with equal aplomb which makes the rhythm of turns into a sweet, sensual experience. They will have you crying with joy - I did. The rest of the mountain from groomers to moguls yielded to the easy confidence which the M-Pro 90's enable. At speed, they set and hold the edge confidently giving a strong sense of stability. Moguls were a surprise as the M-Pro 90's were adaptable to the quick bing bing turns and light edge work needed to flow down the bumps. These skis really did it all on one of the best mountains in North America. And more importantly, beyond the technical specifications, the M-Pro 90's will have you smiling and rediscovering your joy of why you are a skier.
Skied three days after buying it fresh. It can manager all the areas on the piste map and plenty of fun if a bit off-piste right next to the slope. The perfect condition for this is 15-25cm fresh snow on top of groomed ground and you can feel everything from the mountain. What most surprises me is the strong grip on icy and steep conditions, which I believe is a result of the modest width ratio between the waist and both ends.
I read lots of reviews of mantua different skis, agonized over the decision, and bought these skis without a demo. These skis did not disappoint. I am a hard charger down steep slopes and these skis hold an incredible edge. Fresh powder....no worries. These skis performed admirably on powder. No regrets with my purchase and I’m looking forward to many great days on the mountain with my new set of friends.
Excellent, perfect control, smooth ride through powder and groomed runs. Double blacks have never been easier with these pair of skis. Effortless carving, worth the price you pay.
bought this as a mid fat ski and i love skiing it in any conditions!! floaty, smooth, fun, versatile. This could be the one ski do it all wonder ski!!! You'll love it!
