Smith Icon Mips Snow Helmet
An FIS-approved race helmet designed for the high speeds of alpine ski racing, the Smith Icon Mips snow helmet lets you soar down the mountain with focus and confidence.

- Rotational motion can cause brain injuries; with Mips®, a low-friction layer slides 10 to 15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
- Shell features an advanced ABS, engineered-plastic formulated for ultrahigh impact strength and resistance to low temperatures
- Aerocore in-mold construction delivers ventilated protection featuring patented Koroyd material, integrated skeletal structure and aramid filament reinforcement
- Koroyd is an open-cell protective material that absorbs more energy on impact than traditional helmets while also increasing airflow
- Engineered EPP core placement for multiple gate impacts
- Helmet is designed to match goggles-frame curvature, eliminating the gap while allowing warm, moist air to vent away from goggles
- XT2® antibacterial performance lining inhibits the growth of bacteria that consume sweat and cause odors
- Plush lining and ear pad construction reduces noise interference
- Intuitive strap system features a Fidlock® magnetic buckle that can be adjusted with one hand, even while wearing gloves; adjustment system also eliminates leftover webbing
- For slalom disciplines, Smith makes an Icon-compatible removable chin guard (not included)
- Certification: Conforms to FIS RH 2013 requirements; ASTM F 2040, CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B, FIS RH 2013

Normal Helmet, difficult to hear, huge gap behind goggles
Why does the outlet open so far back? I have a Giro helmet and Carrera goggles that are 15 years old that fit better than this. There's a huge gap between the back of the goggles and the front of the outlet, even Smith goggles which are supposedly made to fit Smith helmets. It makes my face cold and lets air in under the goggles. Like I said, I had 15 year old equipment before and I've never felt air moving under the goggles in my eyes... until this now.
Solid, light helmet
The helmet provides great protection, is super light and has a snug fit that adapts to my head shape. The only negative is how much sound it blocks out.
I’ve been skiing for 40+
I’ve been skiing for 40+ years and this is my first helmet. It fit well and I didn’t even know it was there while I was skiing,
Amazing helmet
This helmet is a lot lighter, more streamlined, and cooler than my previous helmet. It's not cheap, neither is my head, though.
Perfect for Ski Cross
This helmet is AWESOME! Ski Cross requires this style helmet, which is different from my son's park helmet and he loved it!
Not a scan of the chin strap
I find it hard to use . Otherwise the helmet is well designed and fit my intended purpose of buying a safe helmet
ICON HELMET
Purchased this helmet about a month ago. Love the design and the fit, only wish that it was adjustable.
