Features

  • Hard Shell construction attaches a rugged, molded outer shell to the EPS foam liner; this process produces great, durable helmets at a great price
  • There are 3 main components to Mips (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System): an interior foam liner, a Low Friction Liner and an elastomeric attachment system in between
  • In an angled impact, the elastomeric attachment system stretches to allow the foam liner to rotate independently around your head
  • The goal of Mips technology is to further reduce rotational forces
  • Super Cool Vents pull cool, fresh air into the helmet while pushing heat and stale air out
  • Stack Vent™ aligns with the center vent of your goggles to keep them fog-free; helmet is designed for seamless compatibility with Giro goggles (not included)
  • On-the-fly vertical tuning accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom, gap-free fit
  • Auto Loc 2 fit system is a removable, durable self-adjusting system that combines a supple elastic fit band at the back with fixed-position straps and 3 circumference settings
  • Includes removable goggle retainer and earpads
  • Certification: CE EN1077

Imported.

To find your size, position a tape measure just above your ears and about 1 in. above your eyebrows. Keep the tape level to measure the circumference around the largest part of your head and then find the corresponding size in the Technical specs info.

Solid comfy helmet
I didn't notice this helmet at all over 3 days of skiing (2, 30 degree F days and one 10 degree F day), which I think is the highest complement you can give a ski helmet. I wasn't too hot on the warm days (30 F), and I was plenty warm on the cold day out. Luckily I haven't tested this helmet yet for impact safety, but it feel sturdy.

Buyer beware: not adjustable
Protection is zero without a good fit. This helmet is not adjustable by design: the circumference is fixed, if it fits a hat for winter for sure it will be too large at spring. Straps around the ear are fixed too, so regardless how much the chin strap is tightened, the helmet inclination cannot be adjusted, leaning too close to the eyebrows or more likely, too tilted backwards. Shame on Giro for designing a bait product with a Mips label.

Go to brain bucket!

I have always been a fan of giro helmets, this is the third one I’ve owned and I always end up putting them to the test wether I like it or not but needless to say they’ve always had my back! 10/10

Great helmet at a great price!

Perfect fit right out of the box. I didn’t need to make any adjustments, but it’s easy to do if necessary. Pairs well with my Giro goggles. A great helmet at a great price!
