Features

  • ChromaPop lenses filter 2 specific wavelengths of light that cause color confusion, delivering more detail through greater definition, more natural color and unmatched clarity
  • Frames with ChromaPop Polarized lens choice reduce 99% of visible glare from water, snow, sand and pavement for increased visual acuity and decreased eye strain
  • Vacuum-applied antireflective coatings on the back of the lenses eliminate bothersome sidelight reflections
  • Hydroleophobic (water- and oilproof) coating repels moisture, grease and grime—water beads up and disperses without streaking, and fingerprint smudges can be easily wiped away
  • Hydrophilic Megol® nosepads gently grip your skin to help keep the frame in place for a secure fit; gripping power increases when introduced to moisture
  • 4-base lens curvature is just right for everyday wear
  • Smith auto-lock hinges stay tight and secure so your glasses stay on
  • Proprietary Evolve frame incorporates 53% bio-based material into these injected-polymer sunglasses

Love these!
I have the Matte Tortoise, and these help block the sun while also keeping things bright. I bought them for general sunglass use, but these will be a must have for fishing. My last polarized sunglasses helped for seeing into the water, but there is a big difference in clarity with these. Also, the Matte Tortoise does look different in person (in a good way). The frame is a lot darker and the lens is more yellow.

Weak construction.
Plastic hinge broke the next day without any apparent major pressure on it. Ended up getting a different brand. Lost my confidence in this brand.

Best shades EVER for my prominent noggin.

These sunglasses have great & clear lenses, and the frame is just a smidge larger than so many other wayfarer style sunglasses. I find Ray Bans a bit too snug on the temples, but these are an absolutely perfect fit. So if you've got a slightly exceptional dome, as I do... these cannot be beat. And as someone who's lost 3 pairs of them, I can honestly say they're worth the money EVERY time I re-buy them.

Everyone needs a pair

These glasses are a timeless fit and style. Love the color combos. I wish you all would bring back a gradient lens is my suggestion :call_me_hand::skin-tone-3:

Outstanding product

The fit is precise, and sits in place very comfortably. Love the frame style and they are light on the face which I really like. At an Astros game where the sun was on our faces, and the lenses filtered out light perfectly where I could still enjoy the game without squinting.

Quality!

I love these sunglasses so much. The weight of them is very light which makes them comfortable. The lenses are really great too. Overall, I think the quality of these sunglasses will make them last a really long time.

Odd Shape/Size for My Head

These didn't fit my face/head and were returned. I have a narrow/elongated head and they fit fine left to right. But they sat too high on the bridge of my nose and left a gap at the bottom. To be fair, I have a fairly pronounced bridge on my nose. They also had a distracting purple reflection on the outer edge of the interior lens when the light hits them at a certain angle. I would not be able to drive in these because of the reflection. This could also be due to how they sit on my face. The lenses are very crisp/clear otherwise. They're well made, materials are quality/what I've come to expect from Smith and they're stylish if the fit is right.

My Lowdown 2 addiction

This is my third pair of Lowdown 2’s and they’re by far the best frames I’ve ever used. They’re my daily driver sunglasses, the arms hug your face really well and the rubberized nose piece make them the most comfortable and secure sunglasses I’ve ever put on my face. I’ve used them for spring skiing and mountain biking in Colorado and Arizona and the lenses have never felt too dark or too light. You won’t believe how good chromapop is until you see through them in person. So far the brown chromapop polarized lenses have been my favorite, they make colors pop like no other lens. The dark polarized (5% VLT) are dark, but again, I’ve never felt encumbered because of my vision, and they still make colors stand out, it’s phenomenal.

Game changer! I bought these

Game changer! I bought these on line without even trying them on and I am so glad I did! I was amazed when I wore these! They are comfortable and very secure on your face. They everything look better. My eyes feel so comfortable with less squinting/straining even on the sunniest days on the beach! You can see more definitions on cloudy days. Definitely a great product! Well worth the price!
