I have run in the Pegasus since the Pegasus 31. I have enjoyed how the shoe is cushiony enough for long runs, yet nimble enough to go fast. However, this is not the case for the new Pegasus 37. It feels much more stiff and bulky, especially in the heel. The heel is so built up that it gets in the way of my stride. I am a forefoot striker, so I prefer shoes with a 8mm drop or less; however, 10mm drop of the Pegasus has not bothered me until the 37. I could not run in them and had to return them. I wish Nike would go back to making a shoe that works for wide variety of runners, including forefoot strikers like me. Bring back the Pegasus 36!
I absolutely love these shoes. I was running on a pair of worn out Nike roshes before and I had problems with my ankles, knees, and arches. The switch to these shoes has made running an absolute dream. They're light, supportive, and almost springy. It's fantastic. They helped a lot with my endurance and distance running. Don't pick your size based on what you normally wear in other shoes. Use the size guide and measure your foot length. I normally wear a size 8 in other shoes, but I measured as a size 9 in these and they fit perfectly. They run true to the size chart but not necessarily true to size compared to other shoes. I highly recommend these!
This is my 1st pair of Pegs and I have about 100 miles on them so far. The first few runs in were bliss but then they got wet. Now, I'm haunted by a terrible squeak with each stride. The sound (ugh I'm *cringing* thinking about it) is so loud that I'm embarrassed when I pass other runners. I think this is because the bottom of the insole and top midsole are both foam, so when any bit of moisture gets in it causes some friction and thus horrible squeaking. I tried drying them out over night but the squeak remains. For reference, I run 60 - 70 miles a week and have worn a LOT of different shoes over the years and this is the first time I've ever had this problem.
Showed as highly rated. Had been running in the Winflo Air and loved. Bought these because they were pricier and all the reviews swore by them saying they were the higher quality version running shoe of the Winflo. My feet hurt EVERYTIME I run in these and I've given it a month and a half. My legs ache the following day as well. I alternate between these and the Winflo. I like how they look, but the laces come untied easily, but more importantly as someone averaging 8.5 miles a week.. I can't and wouldn't recommend. I just ordered another pair of Winflo Airs yesterday. My legs and feet will thank me for it.
I loved both the Air Zoom Pegasus 35 and 36 as solid, everyday trainers. With these 37s, everything is just.... off. From the far less important styling (they look a little too futuristic? Or overly sculpted? Or something silly?), to the far more important fit/feel (I can't put my finger on what it is, but I feel like my feet are slapping down as I run? Maybe they feel stiff in the mid-foot? Too firm overall?), they're rather mediocre. I'll keep running in them during winter/spring months because I won't be sad to destroy them. But I'll be excited when Nike makes the next (and hopefully better) model.
I am currently training for the Chicago Marathon (God Willing if this Covid ends) and have been using two different Asics shoes the past two months. I wanted to try using Nike again which I've always been comfortable with and my feet couldn't be happier. I decided to run 3 miles in them first and instantly it felt bouncy and comfortable. The run felt like I was on clouds. I can really feel the shoe mold to the arch of my feet and its not a tight compression. I would highly recommend wearing them in first, maybe go on a long walk before running in them of course. Either way highly recommend so far.
I got the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 Women's Running Shoe in the color Pale Ivory/Barely Volt/Sail/Ghost. They were gorgeous when they first arrived, they fit as expected, and they were easy to break into. I got these to replace another pair of Nike running shoes that I've had for 5 years, which I wore to run. I run on streets and/or on the track. I stay on the pavement, but sometimes there may be puddles and mud spots from the rain that are unavoidable. With my previous shoes, I simply washed them after my runs and they'd be fine. But in the 6 months that I've had these shoes, and in the less than 10 times that I've worn them to run, they've already gone from a beautiful coral to a dull gray. They're 6 months old but they look like they're from a decade ago. Overall, these shoes are great but I would not recommend them unless you plan on wearing them to exercise exclusively indoors or if you get a dark color.
I have run on Nike Pegasus for more than 20 years. I have always loved that the toe box accommodated healthy feet, especially in the toe box. I am an average size woman runner 5'5" 120 lbs.The new design has narrowed the shoe so much that socks I may have worn for training can't be worn now, I would have to wear the thinnest socks I own. This really isn't do-able when temperatures are below 30 in winter. With the narrowed toe I don't believe it's necessary to build a shoe with space that toes don't anatomically fit into. I am hoping that NIKE takes note and redesigns the Pegasus closer to what they offered for so many years. A classic that has been "updated" but is not great for most runners !
Love these! I suffer from Plantars due to very high arches. These have been perfect. No arch supports needed! I usually buy Brooks but wanted a change, glad I did!
These are great shoes that fit and feel comfortable. The soft pink color looks nice.
