Measure the length of string on a ruler and compare to the size ranges listed in the hat description—there’s your size! When you receive your hat, loosen or tighten the adjustable sizing as necessary for your custom fit. Wearing the hat slightly above eyebrows and ears will allow clear front and peripheral vision.

Great protection if not windy
For a sunny day, this works as expected 100 percent. For a sunny and windy day, forget it and be sure to apply extra sunscreen on your child’s cheeks and forehead. The unfortunate part is we love our other three Sunday Afternoons hats and had wanted to try this one that has a neck protector. The brim is so light weight that in the wind it is not effective. Will have to keep on the shelf for our travels to a non windy place.
