Not for Athletic Builds
I really wanted to love these! Unfortunately, Flylow doesn’t seem to make a bibs for women with curves. I’m 5’7 / 145 lbs. I have an hourglass body shape so my hips and thighs are larger in proportion to my waist. I tried on the Moxie’s in a Medium and Large. The mediums were tight all around and the larges were baggy in a lot of places but still too tight on my thighs. These are definitely more forgiving in the thigh than the Flylow Foxy’s but not enough so. If you’re also looking for a “curvier” fitted bib, the Arcteryx Sentinel’s seem to be the best fit for my legs so far, although I WAS hoping to spend a little less than that on bibs this year.
Great bib for multiple uses
I really like these bibs for in-bound and backcountry skiing. Although they are a shell, they keep me warm and I haven't been cold even on -10F days in the resort (with adequate base layers). Super technical, waterproof and lots of pockets. As for fit, I'm 5'2" about 116 lbs, curvy on the bottom. I ordered both Small and XS and ended up keeping the XS. There could be a little more room in the chest/ribcage area but the Small was very loose on the legs. They seem durable and like they will last. Easy to clean. The mauve color is gorgeous- I've received a lot of compliments on them!
good inbounds option
I am a petite woman: 5’2” 112lbs, no chest to speak of and smaller hips, size XS fit perfect...Purchased the Moxie because I love my Flylow “Foxy” bibs for inbound riding, though they lack a suitable pocket for my beacon while i’m out ski touring. I was hoping this style would offer a better option for my beacon, but no luck. So I am returning these, though I will remark on the fit: the Moxie bibs were virtually the same as my Flylow Foxy’s, just with a roomier fit for a more athletic build woman (i.e., any hips/thighs whatsoever..the Foxy bib is petite.) That said, I would HIGHLY recommend these non-insulated bibs for inbound adventures, they perform..keep me comfortable and dry on powder days, love the leg vents for cooling off too.
Only for Slight Build!
If you have curves, skip these pants. I wear a 12/14 pant & ordered XLs. Couldn't even zip them closed.
Great pants.
WOW! These are super nice! I had to return the XS for a Small, and I am hoping they work. I am 5'2'' 120lbs and these were tight in the seat/waist. They were very flattering and have stretch in them, but I wouldn't be able to put a thicker layer under and I want to wear them skiing and snowmobiling. On a snowmobile you need more leg room for movement as you sit/stand. The color is beautiful--I am excited for the smalls to come in!
Runs small
Ordered these even though most of the reviews stated the sizing was off. I got them and i could not even zip them, the sizing seemed to be quite off. They felt nice, good weight and pockets. I wanted to like these but there is no way i can fit into these. It was extremely tight on my quads and legs and bottom. Definitely not for thicker builds.
