- Stainless-steel hard shell locks provide peace of mind
- Thick polyester/cotton canvas tent body provides excellent resistance to wet weather; it's breathable to reduce condensation and it's quieter in the wind than polyester fabric
- 150-denier polyester rainfly has a 3,000mm polyurethane coating and taped seams for waterproof performance; rainfly can be rolled up for extra ventilation in dry weather
- Skyview window in the roof offers extra light by day and a view of the stars at night
- 2 side windows let you take in the views and also provide great ventilation when opened; or close 1 or both for greater privacy and weather protection
- Windows have inner see-through vinyl, mesh panels and outer polyester panels that can either be rolled up or turned into a canopy
- No-see-um mesh netting in the windows keeps out pesky insects while allowing ventilation
- Entrance zippers on tent body are waterproof

- King-size mattress is made of high-density memory foam and measures 1.6 in. thick to comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (or 3 adults)
- Durable honeycomb aluminum floor panels are lightweight, strong and insulated to help you get a comfortable night's sleep
- Telescoping ladder has a 330 lb. weight limit and features angled, level steps that are easy to climb
- Ladder collapses for storage and then extends 83 in. for a total length of 90.5 in. to reach from the ground to your vehicle's roof rack or crossbars
- Universal mounting system allows the tent to fit on most vehicles' roof racks
- Black version weighs 173 lbs., with a packaged weight of 223 lbs.; Rocky Black version weighs 178 lbs. with a packaged weight of 227 lbs.
- NOTE: packaged weight may exceed load capacity for many roof rack systems; please check your rack weight limitations prior to ordering or attempting to load a packaged tent
- Add the optional Annex Room for extra living space and the Awning for added shelter (Annex Room and Awning not included)
- Includes Mounting Brackets 2.0, which are compatible with a max crossbar height of 1.2 in (3cm) and width of 3.5 in. (9cm) to fit most vehicles
- For higher crossbars, manufacturer recommends use of Mounting Brackets 1.0 (not included)
- Note: The crossbars on your vehicle's roof must be at least 30 in. apart; the tent weight limit is 900 lbs.

Designed to fit on most vehicles with roof racks. The general rule of thumb is to make sure that your rack has a Dynamic Weight Capacity of at least the weight of the tent. This is the weight that the rack can physically carry while the vehicle is in motion. However, you should check your manufacturer's roof rack system to ensure it will support the weight of the tent.

amazing camper. poor REI practices
Amazing camper. You won’t regret it. However, When ordered 15 May. Item didn’t ship and arrive to REI until July. In between May and July REI charged me four different times totally $12,000 of holds on my credit card. One of which is still pending even though the item was finally picked up and paid for.

Explain the appeal of camping on top of a Jeep.
Ok I'll admit off the bat that I love and have owned Jeeps for decades. And adventuring into nature is the passion of my life. However, isn't it best to connect to the Earth when we go into nature? My goodness, isn't the ideal to sleep on the ground staring at the stars from your sleeping bag? This looks like the best effort ever to remove one from the Earth.

I wanted a hard shell rooftop tent for the rapidness of closing up camp and being on the road. We bought this tent when my daughter was 3 months old and have been camping a number of times with it already in just 2 months. The tent is very high quality! There are a few attachments that are available on the manufacturers website that we have added to ours such as the Annex room, insulation liner, and shoe storage bag. This tent is the size of a king size bed when opened up, ITS HUGE! Our neighbor who is 6’ 7” could fit in here with ease. I definitely recommend this brand and tent!

I have been sleeping in an 8-10 person tent for most of my camping trips for the last 8 years. Usually it’s just me and my son now, so I don’t need that much room. I like this tent for multiple reasons but mostly convenience. No longer do I need to spend 30 minutes setting up the tent and taking it down. I don’t need to inflate air mattresses. If I can drive there, I don’t need to find a large level spot for the tent, just need the vehicle to be level. This tent is made well with good quality material. It has windows and a skylight. The canvas is heavy enough to keep sunlight out so sleeping in is easy if that’s what you want. I debated buying it based on the price but you get what you pay for. I’ll be buying the annex soon.
