Great Shirt

I'm glad I bought this. I like the idea of the snaps instead of buttons. And the side pockets are a good idea. Thank you Columbia for offering plus size shirts. Plus size ladies are just as "outdoorsy" as all the other skinny ladies. Fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, playing golf, gardening, are a big part of what we love. I was a little perplexed, though. I didn't see many earth tone colors, maybe because I bought it when it was a clearance item. Most outdoor people that I ever knew stayed away from bright colors because they attract bugs, flies, etc. The fit is true to size, and, as always with Columbia products, it is a good quality shirt.

I LOVE this shirt!

I love these shirts for many reasons. #1 being the fit. To me they run a tad on the small size but having said that, once you find the right size for you they're a GREAT FIT! They are so light weight that I love wearing them in the sun. The SPF protection in them is awesome. I am supposed to stay completely out of the sun. This is out of the question for me so having a long sleeved shirt with SPF is a must. The fact that it's extremely well ventilated is a HUGE PLUS. I love that the sleeves roll up. The snap button keeping them rolled is cute and practical. I lived in this shirt while guiding in the desert. It's a must for anyone spending time in the sun wanting protection and comfort! Plus the assortment of colors rocks!

Great tops... except

I have been wearing Columbia exclusively for the last 5 years. The tops are great for me. UV protection, breathable material, comfort from the hot day to cool evenings. My only gripe. I have a large pile of tops I can no longer wear, due to stains not coming out. Im a bus driver. From the pen I forgot to remove before washing, accidentally leaning against something, to food dropping on my top. The stains don't come out. I have pre washed, soaked, scrubbed, used Oxy Clean and Shout, those remedies. I dont know if its all all possible... but please work on this. I hate to have more around the house shirts, than shirts I can wear out.

Pockets are white & show if shirt not buttoned

Bought this shirt for a trip to layer over a wicking shirt. So very disappointed in it because the pockets are white and are not tacked well. I could not wear the shirt unbuttoned because the WHITE pockets inside the shirt showed. Notice that in many of the shirt listings Columbia shows the pockets inside the shirt and how they match the color of the shirt. Not so for this shirt. They do not show the pockets inside the shirt. This is because they cheaply put them in and those pockets show if the shirt isn't buttoned.

Better than expected

I got this shirt for a trip out to the Grand Canyon. I was looking for a shirt that would provide sun protection. I can't believe how light weight this shirt is. My only complaint is that it does run small. I had read that in several reviews and ordered up a size, but it still is on the fitted size. I wouldn't be able to wear it over a t-shirt. Might have to order the men's version next time. I do have a large chest, so I am sure that has a lot to do with it. I also thought it would be a little longer. I have t-shirts that are longer than this. But as far as doing what I bought it for, it works great

sun protection

I am a stage 4 Metastatic Malignant Melanoma cancer survivor. I live in these shirts, I have them in every color, they have saved my life. I am able to go out and sit out with my children play with them, go to the beach, fishing, family vacations for the last 4 years . These shirts are my skin for the spring , summer and late fall. The one problem with them is they get very hot. They need more vents on the shirt besides the back of it. Years ago they were made in cotton a much cooler fabric I bought many of them for my father for him when he is boating. They should bring that material back.

Have three, will buy more

What a great shirt! Fit is great. No binding, relaxed fit but with an attractive shape - so difficult to find in a plus size. I appreciate that I could remove the stitching holding the velcro collar points and on the Columbia label (high color contrast with dark fabric) on the fishing pole velcro tab (which, by the way is a great place to hang light sunglasses or readers temporarily) which I felt made the shirts dressier and even more versatile. Wonderful UV protection for both outside and under fluorescent and halogen lights) Great shirt for indoors and out. Love the zippered pockets. Casual enough for every day wear and could be dressed up enough for dinner out. It is becoming my travel "uniform"

Perfect for kayaking in the sun!

This shirt was given to me by a friend who did'nt wear it much, and I LOVE it. I wear it for kayaking. It s great for staying out of the sun, and protected. I love to get this wet and wear. It keeps you cool, and comfortable. I also love that the sleeves roll up and converts to a smaller arm sleeve. I bought this one for a friend to make sure its the exact same one I have, and it was, so I am going to buy another 1 for a gift and one more for me.-- I highly recomment this to anyone who is outdoors and needs something in the HOT sun to stay cool, and protected! Great investment!

The best sun protection shirt I've ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PGF Tamiami II long-sleeved shirt is absolutely the best sun protection shirt I've ever bought! Its stylish and flattering design is unlike any sun shirt I've ever seen. It keeps me cool and comfortable. I walk with hiking poles, and the two truly functional but discreet pockets in the shirt accommodate everything I need to take on my daily walk, leaving my hands free for my poles. I easily burn, so I've worn sun protection shirts for many years, for my professional activities, gardening and outdoor recreation. This shirt is superior to any other sun shirt I've ever worn!

Great Shirt - I bought 3 more!

I really like this shirt because: - It is very lightweight - It does an alright job of keeping its shape - Looks sharp - It has snaps instead of buttons. I feel like supergirl when I take it off at night :-) Things I don't like: - It's borderline too short (though obviously not too much because I bought several more!). - Even on the smallest snap, the sleeves billow out too much and hang over my wrist. This isn't a problem for me though, as I like to roll the sleeves up anyway. But as a long sleeve shirt, the sleeves are out of whack.
