Cool little cooker
Received free product
I was a bit skeptical at first, but after a few uses this little guy has won me over. I live in Utah where everything is pretty dry and there is always concern about wind and catching nearby things on fire when you dont have a proper fire ring. This fire safe solved that problem for me and now is a staple in my car camping trips. Its fairly compact so you cant get a roaring fire going in it, but definitely a good size for cooking over or for 2 or 3 people to gather around.

Ehhhh...good in theory but
It packs down to a nice size. But after only two uses I'm having significant bending/warping of the steel. I don't see myself getting much more life out of this.

Great Fire Safe!

Received free product

The first thing I noticed was how light weight and compacted the safe was. It comes in a very low profile case and then is super easy to put up. Setup and clean up are super quick! Once I was ready to clean up I just dump the ashes out and wipe it out. The sides do get hot so have a glove(no brainer). It might be hard to keep the low profile and add a insulated handle. It work very well once the fire started, did take but to get going, but that is expected.

Perfect for LNT Camping and Canoeing

Received free product

I was really impressed with this fire pit - especially when paired with the Grizzly Grill. It’s a safe, ready made fire pit that is great for maintaining LNT principles while car camping or doing a paddle trip. It’s a bit heavier than I would take backpacking with maybe the exception of a fun overnight. I’ve tried it with both wood and charcoal and it handles both quite well. No warping and the heat did not seem to conduct to the ground below. The set up takes about 15 seconds, which is a bonus

Heavy but very useful

Received free product

This is an excellent product for places where camping is allowed but sites are not established. Leaves no trace and functions well for both cooking and warming. We got ours very recently and have only gotten to trial it in the backyard, but used it for both purposes. Pros: Easy setup, large surface area for fire, cooled quickly, easy to clean up, packed back into case Cons: Heavy for backpacking or bikepacking We will use this on bike touring trips and overnighters in unconventional places.

Increases fire safety

Received free product

First off the fire safe is absolutely bombproof. Solid construction using quality materials this thing was built to last. I frequently use fire pans on rafting trips and gear must be able to take a beating. The size is good for building a tidy campfire. Definetly easy to build a fire inside the box and it does a fantastic job containing the burn. Fire pans are increasingly becoming mandatory kit and even when not required should be used to prevent wildfire. I would certainly recommend this one.

Great little fire pit!

Received free product

This is a great portable fire pit - perfect for camping in places that do not have a fire ring available. I have used it with firewood and charcoal. I love that it stores in its own case and does not take up much room in the car. I added a pair of old sport socks to wipe it down when finished - I just turn them inside out and keep them in the storage case. A great accessory for car camping!

Over priced, small, but good quality

This thing is excessively expensive for what you actually get. But the quality is great, and it includes a decent carrying case. It is quite small, so keep that in mind it’s probably really one good for one or two people to sit around or use. Wish REI had more options, as the Solo Stove camp fire deals are nice and all. But produce little to no heat off the sides to actually keep you warm in the cold.
