Not for the short torso'd people
I really wanted to like this, because the colors are so cool and it's so soft, but the fit just wasn't right for me. It hit me at roughly hip length and that's just longer than I want my fleeces to be so I can layer without feeling restricted movements. I don't think this jacket really works for people with short torsos. I'm 5'2 and ordered the XS in Multi-Marin (which is still a sick color combo!).
Love this Jacket
Almost didn't order this, but I am SO glad I did! It's quickly become my favorite jacket (so much so that I am purchasing a second one!). I wear it hiking, camping, around the house, you name it. I typically wear a M, but I ended up ordering a size up because I prefer my jackets to have a bit more space. I have longer arms than the average woman, but the sleeves in the size L are the PERFECT length. The fabric is very nice and not itchy at all. Zipper is very sturdy, and I haven't had any issues with losing the little ties that are on the zippers. Holds up great in the wash. I've had it for about 3 months now and I wear it quite a bit.
Best fleece out there
I don’t travel without taking mine. It’s super versatile, comfortable and stylish. This is my second one and I feel like I will buy them forever :)
Very cute, a bit long
Love the blue and the fun styling to a practical item. Wish the hand pockets were lined with something nicer and less mesh-y. Overall a win. Sizing: I am often between M and L in brands like Patagonia because my shoulders are broad and I'm 5'11" tall but slim - I go larger for shoulder room but then garment is too wide. This fits great in M. It's quite long, about 26".
Functional & cute
This jacket is perfect for southern winter temps & layers well. I love the cuffs and pocket size. The Kari Traa website & REI size charts both said I'd need a L, but I bought a M as a backup. I'm glad I did. The Medium gives me plenty of room to wear long sleeve shirts or medium-weight sweaters underneath. I was swimming in the Large.
Warm jacket. Wouldn’t stop shedding on everything!
I took this jacket to Europe and it was perfect for cool weather but it wouldn’t stop shedding. I washed it before I went and it still shed on my sweaters, on the chair in the restaurant, and all over the rental car seat which was hard to remove. I finally just had to through it away and buy a new one. I would have felt guilty donating it and inflicting the shedding mess on someone else.
warm and stylish
I love this fleece! I mostly got it to wear in my drafty 100 year old house. I'm 5'8" about 125 lbs, and the small is a little roomy--good to layer under but not over. It covers my long arms and torso nicely. Great pockets. The orange is really beautiful--more muted than the pictures on the website. My husband calls me a squash. Lol.
so cozy
I just picked this up and I’m already in love. It’s so warm and cozy. And it fits perfectly under my puffy and shell. My only complaint is that as someone who is 5’1, the length and sleeves are a little long, also making the pockets a little awkwardly low. But the coziness and warmth make up for that completely in my opinion. It’s functional and cute. I definitely see myself wearing this all the time.
Poor qualilty
The pictures look better than the jacket. Very boxy. The zipper came apart from the bottom after only three wears!
Not like my other Kari Traa jacket
Ordered in Bjerk because I love my first jacket I bought last year. What happened?? Quality horrible. The sleeves are longer and the fleece was see through. Now I waste my time driving 30 mins to store to return. So disappointed as my mauve jacket is perfect.
