My favorite pants!
I bought these in December 2020 before I went to Big Bend National Park. I covered a little under 20 miles backpacking in these pants and they were fantastic! I'm a little under 5'4" so they're pretty much full length on me. I'm normally about a size 4, so I got a small. They are a bit baggy in the legs, but it doesn't bother me at all. The waistband is super comfortable and I like that they're joggers so they keep anything like vegetation and brush out. Of course that's only because they're about full length on me, so that wouldn't be the case for taller people. I also wear them to work all the time, and they are still in perfect condition.
Cute and comfy, but not as water resistant as I'd hoped
These pants are the cutest outdoor pants I've ever owned, and fit me perfectly - I'm very short but have pretty wide legs, so these (size 12) go right to my ankles and look nothing like the photo, haha, but I love how they look and they feel durable like they will last a long time and not wear out between the thighs like most of my other pants. The stretch waistband is very comfortable and nicely compressional without squeezing me to death and high waisted enough for my large behind to not fall out when I bend down to look at rocks, like most other outdoor pants I have. I wore these out in the field during a pretty hefty rain storm with some wool under leggings beneath, and they were able to run off the first few bits of rain and dry fairly quickly, but after a while of just being pounded by wind and driving rain, they got totally soaked through and my wool leggings got wet as well. Luckily, though, both dried much faster than expected, so that was a nice surprise, I just wish they were a bit more water resistant. This is the main reason for my 4 star rating rather than 5. They're cute and comfy, just not super functional for a working geologist on the job - guess I gotta stick with my ugly rain slicker bibs for work and wear these on light personal hikes!
Really comfortable and versatile
I find myself going to these pants as much as I can. Wish they had other colors. Super comfortable and light weight. I must admit, the material wasn't quite what I was expecting when they arrived - more a light weight slightly stretchy, papery (not sure the word but not like a cotton, guess quick-dry would be the word). But I love them. I wear them as casual pants out and about and on hikes or various outdoor activities. Perfect! Again, wish they had more colors! Oh, I'm generally an 8 or 10 in pants and the medium on these fits great.
Noisy pants
So the overall cut of these pants are nice. They were comfy & pretty flattering but the noise.. I just couldn’t let my pants be the sounding alarm as I walk.. Unfortunately, they go back. Still on the hunt for the perfect jogger..If you can block out the noise of the material, give them a try..
Run large
Overall, I really like these pants. I bought similar prAna pants with a wide waistband last year in M that are a bit snug so I ordered a L this time. They feel loose, would have probably been fine in M. Coping by folding the waistband over with good results!
Loving the look and feel
I just bought these pants, I went with an XL because I was worried about tightness, but I think I could have gone with the L. That being said, I am not planning to return them. I love their lightness and flex, and also their versatility: I can wear them with my ratty hiking tshirt and then, trade out for a slightly nicer top to go grab a bite with friends.
My new favorite pants
I love these pants. They are the perfect errand/weekend pants. I use them to lounge, run errands, walk the dog, take the dog to the park, and go to appointments. It's been unusually warm in the winter where I live and they're comfortable to wear from 30-55 so far. Go well with sneakers or winter boots. They are a little loose without being baggy and looking slobby. I wore them so many times the first week I ordered a second pair. I'm 5'5", 115# and got a S. They stretch a little during the day and I may fit in a XS, but the elastic waistband on the S has never fallen down and is extremely comfortable.
Need tall sizes!
I have been on the hunt for midweight woven joggers like this for years! Things I love: knit cuffs and waistband that don't dig in; 4 decent pockets; streamlined and stretchy woven fabric that feels like it will hold up. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is that I could use another 2-3 inches in length to make these year-round pants for me. But in the only inseam offered, they're pretty much capris on me. Prana, PLEASE make more tall inseam joggers! I had the same problem with the Sky Canyon joggers - which I returned because they ran much smaller than the Summits. I usually wear a 6 in most of the Zion styles (Halle straight, Briann), and S was perfect in waist/hips in these joggers.
Wide legs
I'm 5'5" and weigh 125, and purchased a small. The waist and hips fit fine, but the legs are SO wide. Nothing like what's seen in the image.
great fit but the noise...
I love the fit of these joggers and I want several pairs - but in a different fabric. They fit well with a comfortable waist and roomy but not baggy hips and thighs. But, I feel like I am wearing wind or rain gear and I hear swoosh-swoosh when I walk. I want a softer and quieter fabric to wear all day, in my office, on planes, or running errands.
