[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable runners. I tried a few other brands but my Brooks pairs are the most comfy ones.
I wanted Brooks brand because that is what I bought at the "Good Feet Store" and they were great!!! I am not a runner, but wear these shoes on long walks, and to work out. The insole has a raised arch that helps the plantar fasciitis in my left foot. The tab on the back of the heel is very useful for just slipping on the shoes without untying the laces, and back of heel does not cave in when slipping them on. Love the color choices and the price was great! The laces are extra long, so I double knot them to prevent tripping over them. I am 5', 118# and wear a 6 Narrow and sizing is true to form. Would recommend and buy again.
I like that they are lightweight and not too stiff. They're cushioned but don't have an excessively high insole which makes other shoes too clunky and awkward for me. The thing I dislike about these shoes is that the toe box is rather narrow. My feet are a little bit wide and I'm most comfortable in Merrells for trail running shoes, but wasn't happy with their road-running shoe options. After my first run in the Revel 4s, my pinky toes were almost completely numb. I've adjusted the laces to make it more comfortable for me but I really wish a wide version of this shoe was available to give my forefoot some more breathing room.
If I could give a zero, I would. I bought these because I absolutely loved my original Levitate and figured they couldn't be that much different. Boy, was I wrong. No support, no cushion. Honestly, I tell people that they feel like a pair of cheap Skechers. Awful. As a matter of fact, I have had serious feet pain whenever I take them off at the end of a work shift. I wear them for walking and work and still awful. DO NOT BUY! I LOVED my original Levitate 1 but now those have a different ankle (sweater/stretchy material now). I might try the Glycerin but am losing faith in Brooks. They used to make my feet so happy.
My right foot fell victim to plantar fasciitis 6 months ago and I had to cut back on my running for much longer than I’d hoped, still not 100% but a girl’s gotta run! I tried other more supportive cushioned shoes but still my Revel 3s were the ones my foot liked the most so I ordered these to train for my first marathon and they’re wonderful! Fit like a glove, I ordered my usual size, each step feels effortless and my foot isn’t dying for days after my long runs. I would have ordered the Revel 5s but I didn’t like the available colors in my size haha. They’re comfortable for my heels right off the bat, the arch support is perfect, and I have plenty of toe space while also a nice secure fit… After trying Ghosts and Glycerins and going back to my trusty Launch, Revels will be my first choice going forward. Happy running!
These were my first pair of running shoes that I really LOVED. For the first time ever, I had no pain in my hips, knees, legs, feet or ankles the entire time I used these shoes. I bought them in September 2021 and they lasted me until April 2022 with everyday use, exercising, and running on a treadmill ~4-6 miles a week. I did a few ~2 mile outdoor runs and they were great. It was only until they were on their last legs did I get shin splints and then I knew it was time to retire them. I have neutral gait, high arches, about 5'8 and ~155lbs. Thinking about buying these again for my half marathon training shoes, but not sure about how they will handle long distances outdoors.
The uppers are so flimsy they provide no support to the foot. They are also 3/8” shorter and narrower than the same size Adrenalines. They are not even comfortable to walk in. I am a long time Brooks customer and could always buy a size 7 and know it would fit great and the shoes would be high quality. Not any more! There is now huge variability in sizing even with the Adrenaline and Glycerine models. Not happy about having to find a new brand.
These are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever had. A friend of mine recommended the Ghost (she runs marathons in hers) but after doing the shoe recommendation quiz, I went with the Revel 4. I wasn't sure of the sizing so I went with an 8.5, which I have in several of my other running shoes, but may have been able to size down to an 8. They fit really well and the shoes feel like you're walking on a cloud. I had a recent bout of Achilles tendonitis, which has healed, and the shoes have helped alleviate the pain and reduce additional flare ups. I'm looking forward to more running in these!
Fit very true to size. Comfy, springy, no pressure points anywhere on my feet. Doesn’t ride up and down on the back of my foot like some shoes. Just feels quick! The shoelaces are just a tad long for my liking, but easily fixed by tucking the loops into the top laces. I have narrow feet with very high arches and these are very comfy for my 3-5 mile runs. And such a cool color way!
I have the Revel 2, 3, and 4 running shoes. The 2s were great, but the shoe has diminished in quality with each new version. You can tell from the attached photo that the cushion is reduced on tongue and collar with each new version. Comfort level is greatly reduced with the 4. Not sure why they are selling it as a version of Revel. It's basically a different shoe.
