Garbage product, stains clothing/fabrics
My partner and I bought a couple of these in orange, 20L size) to store clothes on a trip to Mexico. On the second day of the trip my partner noticed inexplicable lime green stains on her denim overalls, and the next day, I noticed that several of my favorite t shirts (white and light blue color) stored in a different but identical bag had also been stained with that same awful lime green color. $100+ of clothing ruined so far - DO NOT PUT ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD NOT LIKE GETTING STAINED INTO THIS BAG.
Not Even 2 Years of Use
Bought one of these summer 2022 for a dirty clothes bag for our trips. It was a bag, it did what a bag for soiled clothing needs to do. But I brought it out for a trip this past weekend, and despite being kept in the house for storage, found the lining material had melted onto itself and disintegrated. Of course, this is well after any replacement/refund time window. I have an REI Co-Op compression sack for one of my quilts with a similar feel to the interior, I will be replacing ASAP to avoid this with my more expensive equipment. Take the "Buy Once, Cry Once" approach and just get the Sea to Summits.
Skip this one.
Ripped on the first use. Garbage. Tore at the seam
Go Back to the old ones
Why did REI change this product? The older ones about two years ago were much better quality. These new ones are not as durable as they used to be. Also there were many different colors.
Missing flap
Bought two. Quality excellent. However, i would return them if i was not on trail do to the fact that they do not have the flap that keeps snow out of opening. Have had to use a plastic sandwich bag to cover hole.
REI Co-op Durable Stuff Sack is Handy
Handy for organizing camping or backpacking gear This is not intended as a sleeping bag stuff sack because it does not have a fabric circle (flap) to cover the drawstring opening.
Heavy-duty and well made stuff sack.
I used this as a durable cover for my tent on the outside of a backpack on a hike on the rugged AZ Trail. It is very durable and well made. Any light-weight tent bag would have been torn to threads.
It works!!!
I use the 60L mainly to carry pillows/blankets camping as I was sick of them just getting thrown in the car. Works as desired and keeps everything clean and organized. Also gets used as a dirty clothes bag while out there and also exceeds expectations at this ability. I like the bottom strap to get all items out of the bag in a hurry.
Very Durable
I took this on a backpacking trip, strapped above my rear tire for 100+ miles on dirt trails. Despite abuse it took going over rocks and down hills, this bag held up. I was worried the draw string would loosen with all the bumps (and being stuffed full), but it stayed right the whole time.
great bag for a rectangular sleeping bag
This was just perfect for my old rectangular sleeping bag that has a slippery surface, so it won't roll properly. I have a little extra room, so the filling in the bag won't compress too much. Complaint to REI: PLASTIC packaging? It's not recyclable most places.
