Perfect cozy hoodie
So glad I selected this Los Gatos hoodie after much consternation - was considering a similar Patagonia offering. But, this guy was just right for me - the fit is relaxed, the pockets are hugely convenient, the material is cozy and washes up nicely, and well...I'm a sucker for a hood! I have plenty of wind proof, warmer jackets, but this serves my needs for mild weather or indoor chilly temps, as I am tend to run cold (always.) re. sizing: I chose a size small and it's slouchier than some other more fitted options from Patagonia - I'm 5'3 - 110 lbs w/a petite upper body. I probably could have gone with an xs, but this was the look I was seeking.
Fabric holds up well; Brown = Purple
I wish the sweatshirt pocket was lined with the same material as the sweater. Instead, it is a mesh material, which makes it really breathable (read: cold). Also wish Patagonia carried the Los Gatos line in size XXS like some of their other products. The XS fit too big for me, which could be okay if I wanted an oversized look, but I'd rather the bottom hem fit snug. I have found that the Los Gatos fabric holds up really well to washings (I air dry them) and the fabric does not matte or pill (or hold onto dog hair), which makes it worth the extra cost compared to cheaper sherpa/fleece options. Lastly, the "dusky brown" had too much of a purple tint for me which led me to return.
Perfect cut/style BUT the fabric needs improvement
First off, in spite of the 3 star rating, I love this hoodie. Pros: fabric is soft and warm, hood is properly sized for actual use (with a ponytail!), cut is a just-right (like your favorite slouchy cotton hoodie), it is boxy, short (but not too short), and the kangaroo pocket is shaped/sized perfectly to hold my phone all day w/o phone falling out. Cons: the fleece got matted so that the fibers are bonded together and will not "fluff up" even with washing or fluffing with my hand. I was in a car wearing a seatbelt for approximately 6 total hours last weekend. Where the seatbelt crosses my body, there is a diagonal matted section of fleece that now looks different from the rest of the garment. The hoodie is only a few weeks old and I love the fit and the warmth, but I will never be able to wear this item for 10 years. I've had fleece garments made from Polartec fleece for over a decade, and they are acceptable for wear in public. If this garment matts this badly after one weekend in a car, please go back to the drawing board Patagonia. I expect better quality fleece for the price.
Super cozy and warm...
I am loving this cute hoodie! I purchased it in the noble grey which is a great color. Haven’t had any issues with the fabric yet, but it should be interesting to see how it wears over time... I’m 5’8” athletic build and the Medium is very cute and stylish. I’ve gotten many compliments on it.
Warm, cozy, soft, superior quality
I have both the gray and white. This hoodie is so incredibly soft and warm. I love the longer length and the slim fit (not boxy). Make sure to wash it in cold water on a hand wash cycle and lay flat to dry. I've had these now 3 months and no issues. Well worth the price!
So comfortable
I bought this to wear around camp since I get very chilly. Admittedly, it’s heavy and not very breathable so it may not be the most practical layer for hiking, but it is so extremely cozy. If I can tolerate the extra pound, this thing will be coming with me everywhere.

Not worth the price
Meh. For the price I’m seriously not impressed. I own similar styles from other brands that have a lot better details and fabrics used. Disappointed. Did Patagonia just become a name to buy at this point? Also the shoulders and oddly tight
Function over form
This fleece is surprisingly warm! I took a two-mile walk with only a merino t-shirt underneath in 30F weather and only my face was cold. The fit is not super flattering on my petite frame (it’s a thick, fuzzy fabric that is cute in a way, but has kind of mushy drape, and makes me look a good 20lbs heavier than I am). For the warmth, though, it’s worth it.
