WELL BUILT TRAIL KNIFE.
THIS KNIFE IS A WELL BUILT TRAIL KNIFE. I HAVE PURCHASED TWO OF THEM, ONE FOR A RELATIVE AND ONE FOR MYSELF. VERY REASONABLE PRICED AND WELL BUILT. ITS A " DO IT ALL " KNIFE AND IN A SURVIVAL SITUATION I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM TRUSTING IT. PERFECT KNIFE FOR YOUTH FOR COUNTLESS ADVENTURES. THE HANDLE IS SUPER COMFORTABLE IN MY HAND. NO COMPLAINTS TO DATE.

Great knife. Not the greatest sheath.
I use this knife in the field on a daily basis and I love it. It's perfect for what i need. No complaints there. The sheath however needs work. The first problem was the plastic clip that keeps the knife seated broke off, which wasn't a huge deal since there was a velcro strap on the handle. The big complaint is that the plastic sheath is attached to the canvas belt loop at the bottom and secured in the center with another velcro strap. After repeated use this strap wears out and walking through brush will release it, flipping the sheath upside down. After a 4 wk stint in the woods, on the last day I lost my knife this way and only noticed it after a long hike through the woods. If they improved the sheath, I would buy this knife again or just buy a separate leather sheath.

Well worth the money

I own several survival knives. This one looked interesting enough to buy. Compact, but strong blade that sharpens well. The sheath holds the knife and sharpening steel securely. I've had Gerber Blades since I was in Vietnam. They've never failed me.

Bang for your buck

For the price, this is a super solid knife. The firestarter isn't a gimmick - striking the knife actually makes sparks. Integrated sharpener is a plus since you don't have to buy your own and you'll never be without it. Comfortable grip, feels sturdy. Well worth it for the price!

Intelligent design, high quality

This knife is brilliant. Secure and smooth grip with strong blade. Sheath acts as sharpener and holds flint starter and can be separated from knife if you don't need to carry it. Longer would be nice but it's only $50 so I'd pay for an extra 2-3 inches for a knife from same company.

Great deal

I purchased this knife for the fire starter and I must say I do not regret this purchase. The knife is pretty heavy, but it seems very durable and gets the job done. The fire starter is an awesome bonus! It shoots a huge spark and makes it pretty simple to get a fire going!
