Super light, fast, and maneuverable

Super light, fast, and maneuverable hauling kids around town to finding the best parks. So far, the only downside is the effort required to snap the canopy into place. Maybe it’ll get easier after its broken in.

It's all about the little things...

The Burley D-Lite X is the luxury life-hack that all outdoorsy parents need. But seriously. Having three young kids makes me crave simplicity. Getting out the door already takes so many bags, shoes, snacks and un-matched socks that I get to the point where I can't even think about thinking about one more thing. I love this trailer because it took me less than ten minutes to set up, with all the parts going together intuitively, or with only a quick glance at the instructions (when my husband wasn't looking, of course). I can switch to double stroller mode in seconds so the D-Lite X now does double-duty, freeing up garage space. Or, it folds flat for travel to many exotic destinations in the back of the ol' mini-van. Oh, and there is an ADJUSTABLE SUN SHIELD. I can't be the only mom whose kids have a special screaming voice reserved just for when the sun is in their eyes? But now the nifty silver screen can slide into place, up or down, and they can just use their regular screaming voices for each other. There's a back flap for air flow, and little snack holders, and a five point harness with ONE BUTTON instead of the clip-clip-snap routine of previous trailers. So many good things. Ok, almost done, I swear, but I love how light it is, and even our clunky grocery-getter bike can tow it smoothly. With two kids and the gear for four of us on most trips, those extra pounds are not missed. The suspension is beefy, so no one gets jostled awake, and there is a removable floor mat in the X model for easy clean-up of...everything.

Great investment

Love the Burley DLiteX! Its so easy to set up and break down! My 2 yr old and 1 yr old fit great and comfy! They love it and fall asleep almost everytime they go in there, so the ride is smoooth. I bought the 2 wheel stroller kit for easier swivel in public areas and the handlebar console for things i want to keep at hands reach. I tried hanging the baby bag on the handlebar but the Burley would tip back, so you cant add too much weight on that part. There is enough room in the Burley back of the seats for all the things i need, so no problem. The quality of the burley is great and it is obvious! I get compliments everytime I use it!

D'Lite X Aqua

Overall we love this trailer and would recommend to anyone. Our one issue is that our particular trailer is very difficult to set up because the fabric is so tight that the frame locking mechanism is really difficult to get to lock in place. I thought after some use it would break in and be easier to set up, but thus far it remains incredibly difficult to lock. We imagine it may just be the one we received. Otherwise, of the trailers we used, this is by far our favorite.

This is such a smoothe ride for our kids. They love it and are comfortable. We bought this specifically for our son with cerebral palsy and it has worked so well. He looks well supported and enjoys getting out with his siblings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has opened up a ton of options for our 6month old baby. We use it as a bike trailer, ski trailer and psuedo stroller without the front wheel. It is honestly so well designed and flexible that it could replace our regular stroller. Build quality is fantastic. Design is fantastic. My only gripe is that we have to store it collapsed and the tolerance is so tight that it is difficult to get the expanding bars locked in place each time we set it up. Really though that just shows that it's well made, and only a minor annoyance. Very impressed and would highly recommend it to families looking to get outside.

All-Terrain Hoover Wagon

When you first start looking for a bike trailer you might come across those child seats that were made of all plastic and sat right behind the seat above the wheel. My personal experience with those was in the 80's when I was a child and I would sweat my face off with a windless view of my dad's rear-end. So when I started diving deeper into the bike trailers the yellow brick road led me down to the cadillac's of bike trailers; the Burley, which is pure heaven. I live near a greenbelt and ride this bad boy down gravel dirt roads in the rain, paved trails in the sun, the sky is the limit. Our 7 month old is addicted to the outdoors, and we never have to worry about putting him at risk to the elements. The one thing that stood out to me the most was the suspension, hammock style seats, and 20" tires that make the ride smooth. On top of that the seats recline which make it a staple for naps and little ones that can get floppy.

Wanted to like it…

It’s a great bike trailer. Smooth ride and good maneuverability. Even as a stroller it was smooth and easy to use. The only thing I couldn’t get over was the stupid handlebar. Any kids in the trailer will cause the handle bar to slip. The world has very uneven terrains and the constant slippage was a deal breaker for me given how expensive this was. Pushing the handlebar down to lift the front wheels over a bump caused it to slip. Pushing the handlebar up to lift the back wheels through the doorway caused it to slip. The seat recline was cool but limited in range. The storage is only usable if the seats are not reclined. Even then, any kids lunch bag was too big to squeeze into it. We ended up putting their stuff at their feet which wasn’t ideal. The double stroller wheel was extra accessory but it was annoying that unlike the Thule, there was no option to store different accessories on the trailer itself and it had to just be store separately. Suspension was there but it pales in comparison to the Thule. I really don’t understand how all the reviewers are raving about this stroller. I question how many free items are being sent to influencers for their positive reviews. In summary, get the cheaper one and use it just as a bike trailer. To use it as a stroller leaves much to be desired.

Great first impressions

Got this trailer for my family for Christmas. Haven't been able to use it yet, so this review is a first impression of the cockpit space and overall construction. I have two kids (3 and 18 mos) and they easily fit in this trailer with a couple of toys, snack cups, water bottles (you know essentials). The overall construction is impeccable. It is clear that it is made with high quality materials. Some of the reviews did say it was hard to pop up the first couple of times because, I found this to be the case because of the tight tolerances used to manufacture the outer shell. I imagine after I get to start riding with this trailer (in spring when it warms up) I will be upgrading my review to 5 stars.

Quite an upgrade!

I had the Solo but when the 2nd child was enroute, I went for the upgrade. Aside from being a two seater, it is a massive upgrade from the previous model. Reclining seats. Easy snap in hitch/jogging attachment. Ergonomic handle lots more. You won’t be disappointed!
