Great kids helmets!
Bought the black one and the bright green one for our boys- ages 5 and 7. Both fit great, our five year old is pretty small for his age too, 7 year old is average. Kids liked them. They have started biking more and we decided to get nicer helmets that offered more protection in the front. They have a lot of adjustability so they should fit for several more years too. We are very happy with this purchase. They are happy with their new helmets!
Strap Broke
After about a month of use, the plastic strap that allows you to dial in the neck strap broke during a minor fall. Contact Giro customer service for a replacement part. No replacement parts are available and a replacement helmet will take 3 months to receive. Forces us to go out and buy another helmet.
Great Birthday Bike
My nine year old grandson loves his birthday bike. In his words, "I love the color, MeMe, and it's so light." It has all the gears he asked for, fits with room to grow. He rides on paths, bike paths, sidewalks, neighborhood streets. REI provided the info I needed to choose and purchase online. The bike was delivered and assembled at the REI nearest him. REI does need to be more realistic about delivery and assembly time. It worked out perfectly for us as it was ready for pick up right on time for birthday celebrations, even though about a week later than originally stated. Just allow some extra time.
Wonderful for small woman's head.
Great kids helmet for an adult woman with a small head. I don't even remember I'm wearing it, it's that comfortable. Loned it to my daughter-in-law, and she loved it as well.

great helmet for kids
bought this for my 11 year old. his older "cheaper" helmet was falling apart. the build quality was 100x times better than the big box store helmets. its a lot more expensive, but its worth it !!
Great Adjustability
Have had this for my son for a couple years now. It has a ton of adjustability. Tensioning mechanism is great to secure to his head. Used very frequently and has proven to be very versatile.
