Redesign messed up a good thing
Generally, these pants remain pretty awesome. Great fabric and design...from the waist to the knees. However, for some inexplicable reason, the design from the knees to the cuffs was widened to the point where they almost fit like bell bottoms now. See the pictures. The brown one is my prior Brion Pant and the light khaki is the new one...both 32/32. As modern styles have trended towards slimmer, this is a weird one. Sadly, the pants had to go back.
Very Long, Very Comfy Pants
Just a quick review to say that these pants are awesome and not really true to size. I got 36" Inseams and as a very tall guy appreciate that these are long. With that said, they have to be at least 37-38 inch inseams (though the tag confirms 36). The cuff drags on the ground in any shoes other than my Mid top hiking boots. Not a deal breaker, I just roll the cuff. Waistline seems true at 38". Other than that, they are extremely comfortable and breathable, both bonuses for someone living in Arizona heat. I'm sure they would be great on the trail, but they also are clean and nice enough to be worn business casual. Clean lines and no excess pockets or unnecessary features. Just good pants.
Awesome Climb/Hike/All-Around Pants - One Caveat
I love these pants and now have three pairs all in different colors. They are my go-to pants for anything and everything. I can hike and climb in them one day, and wear to the coffee-shop the next day. The four-way stretch is amazing. After wearing them pretty consistently for a year and a half, the waist is starting to stretch out, and I now need to wear a belt to keep them up.
Most versatile pair of pants I’ve ever owned.
Best pair of pants I’ve ever owned, hands down. In the same week I’ve worn them to the office, canoeing, Camping, laying around the house and to church. Nice enough to wear to the business casual office because they look great and are wrinkle free. They are tough yet super comfortable thanks to the stretch fabric. Since buying them a few weeks ago, I’ve only taken them off to wash them or to avoid someone noticing I’m wearing them every day. Just need 1-2 more pair and I’ll never need another pair of pants.
Only pants I'll ever wear again
Hands down best pant I've ever come across, and I've come across alot!! Can be worn in summer heat or shoveling snow, out of a pack or out to dinner. Bought 1, fell in love and bought 7 more! Great fit, stylish, durable, light, perfect. Cant ask for anything else out of a pair of pants. The shorts are great too!
Good for casual travel
I bought these pants for a trip to Japan which involved several days of moderate hiking including hiking in the rain. These worked well. They are attractive enough to wear for casual dining, are light weight, and pack easily. They dry quickly so even after getting soaked in a rainstorm, they were dry about 30 minutes after the rain stopped. I have a similar pair of pants that I have used for several years for backcountry backpacking. They have held up well under tough conditions.
NOT an actual “Slim” fit
Be aware, as other reviews said these run a little long in the leg. Also, the leg opening is very, very large at the shoes and through the calf. Feel comfortable but look like 90s JNCOs with shoes on. The leg opening measures about 21”. For reference I compared the leg opening to a pair of Dickies “slim” fit that are about 16.5.” Which in my opinion is what a product labeled with “Slim” should be….
Amazing, 110% Comfortable.
Bought these for hiking, but that’s not all they’ll get used for, good if you ever go out with these dressed up and they’re very comfortable. Made of nylon, so they dry very quickly! I bought the brown color, looks FANTASTIC. I check this out in store and knew I needed. Oh and I went rock climbing in them too (new hobby, first climb just today.:) wasn’t pinched or restricted at all!!
Great pants or shorts : I have both.
Comfortable ,light, great fit. Functional for many applications; fishing , hiking, biking, going to dinner or out for drinks. Also ,they travel well.
Nice Pants, but that STATIC
Nice fit, quality materials and construction. Three star rating is due to the static cling of the fabric; the pants would constantly stick to my leg, ride up my calf and stay there. Perhaps if you live somewhere with higher humidity this wouldn’t be an issue, but here in Alaska, I just couldn’t deal with it, so I returned them.
