Brilliant little bell

There are so many good things to say about this little bell. It's manufactured with top notch workmanship, making for a great experience from unboxing, to installing it (which is quite simple really), to the first time you hear that amazing 'ding' sound it makes. It's clearly been well engineered to have an extremely efficient vibration, because it just keeps ringing, almost to the point where I want to stop it for fear of seeming rude to pedestrians as I pass them. I have the black one, mounted pointing forward on my road bike; despite some people's perceptions of putting a bell on a road bike, I think it looks fantastic, and not at all out of place. I decided to purchase the Spurcycle Bell (the most expensive bell you can get for a bike) because after all the effort and skill clearly put into the design and manufacture of this bell, it doesn't sit well with me to go purchase the RockBros Chinese knockoff version, as it's obvious they have blatantly copied the Spurcycle design, and sought to capitalise on someone else's work. (The wording on the Rockbros version packaging is copied verbatim from the Spurcycle box, besides a shameful typo). I'd rather pay the right people what it's worth than let someone else benefit for being cheaters. This is an expensive bell, especially the black version purchased in Australia, but its also the best bell you can possibly get for a road bike. Highly recommended. Save up and get this bell, you will not regret it!

Gouges handlebars and expensive to repair

Wanted to like this bell, it is marginally better than competitors in sound but not for the price. My primary disappointment was that it ruins carbon handlebars in a crash and you'll spend $25 if you need the bell repaired.

Just what I needed!

Ok, I bought 2 bells: The "Oi" brand, and the "Spurcycle" brand. I honestly like the design of the Oi better since it's less noticeable, but I felt it wasn't loud enough & just wasn't what I needed. I put both of these bells on my bike side by side & listened to the sound each made. I just used the Spurcycle bell today & no lie, a person jumped a little when I "dinged" it giving them a headsup. Ha! It sounds great & am super happy with my purchase. Yes, it's pricey, but you honestly get what you pay for. I will update if anything changes but seems VERY sturdy & just can't ask for much more. It's not as much of an eye sore as I had expected either. I got the black one & goes very well with my black scheme bike. Definitely recommended.

A work of art in firm and function.

Installed today. Easy as 1,2,3. I was worried that it would be big and change the Beautiful lines ive created with my handle bars and controls. Boy Was I wrong. This bell is small, and unobtrusive. It sounds fantastic, looks incredible and well is very well built Great job Spurcycle. Id recommend to anyone. Even those I Love.

Excellent Bell

Beautiful bell made in the USA. This is a very compact bell. Fits easily on the bars with two different straps for different diameter bars. Relatively loud and with a nice ring. Yes, it's expensive compared to other similar style bells but the sound, fit and finish are excellent.

Last bell you’ll ever buy

Great distinguishable sound that travels far! Looks great but small enough that many will not even notice it - that is until you ring it!! :) Returned Knog bell from my other bike and replaced it with my second Spurcycle. $50 is high, but so is the quality. Your buddies will have bell envy!

Beautiful ring and aesthetic!

I purchased this bell when I first started bike commuting several years ago. I've since transferred it off my flat-bar bike onto the drop bars of my current gravel bike. In purchasing a bell, I had relatively tempered expectations - if it attaches and rings, it does the job. I could've purchased a far more affordable bell, but the clean metal look of this one, knowing it was made in the USA, and hearing the beautiful ding, won me over. I think this is a bell that is well-made, with mine enduring years of four-season weather as a bike commuter. Now that my partner is looking for a new bike bell, Spurcycle is, again, a top choice we're considering.

Beautiful Bell, great sound

I just installed the bell on my Ebike with Cruiser style handlebars. While it was easy to install and looks great it does not have the ability to angle the hammer towards the grip. The bells internals are stationary. It still works fine but I’m disappointed it requires me to reach fairly far with my thumb. The cheap bell it replaced had the ability to angle it perfectly. So while I like the bell it’s not as practical as I’d have liked considering it was $60 plus tax.

Loud and Clear

Relented and installed on carbon handlebars for populated city riding. Easy to install, wrapped a band of electrical tape on the bars before tightening the metal band. Once mounted, this bell is loud and clear. The tone resonates and the overall build is stellar. Very happy with my purchase.

pleasant and piercing

After recently getting spit on accidentally by a pedestrian that didn't realize I was passing him, I decided to hunt down a bike bell. I'm of the phase in my life where I'm cool with spending more to hopefully ensure that it's quality and will last. I've been using this for somewhere around a month and even people with headphones on hear me coming if I give him a couple ring-a-ding-dings. It's in a tight and compact form factor which doesn't cause the bike to lose any of its sleek look. So far I am a fan, no regrets on spending way more than what I assumed a bike bell would cost.

Quality!

Echoing all the other good things said about this bell. The materials, construction, and sound are all of the highest quality. I only wanted to add a pic of it on my Enve SES AR aerohandlebar. Used the longer steel band with no issues.
