Simple, Easy backpack
I've had a couple of these over the years. I'm 5'0, small build so this is a good medium light carry. I used to use the kids pack for trail runs. This specific one is lightweight, compact and meant for smaller day hikes. I've ran uphill with the bladder completely full and never had issues with leaking. Pro-Tip: if you're having issues with it leaking you're over filling the bladder. If you fill it in reasonably and tightly twist it closed, shake it a couple of times to make sure nothing leaks. Literally hold it upside down, if nothing spills then secure it in the bag. It shouldn't need to be said but some of these comments make me think people are pouring the water into the bag directly and trying to close it then complaining about spills. For this low price don't expect a heavy duty mountain backpack, expect $60 worth of day trails, and easy climbs. Anything harder than that, spend more.

Great product!!

I just returned from Centrikid summer camp as a chaperone with this pack. I served in the Army all over the world and relied on my camelback such as mule and motherlode. So I knew they made awesome products and served me well during combat operations during my four tours of duty. I still have those today but I needed something small light weight and could carry not only water but my few essentials. Honestly the pack was perfect held everything and no leaks and the inside hydration pouch for the bladder is perfect to keep everything dry and separate. Thanks for making such great dependable products that last and perform flawlessly. Lifetime customer!

Easy button

I love my new CamelBak! It is easy to use, comfortable to wear and is a pack. I toss in some snacks, a wallet, pop my phone in the pocket and ready to go. And there is plenty of room for mementos from a state or national park visitor center.

Worst thing I have bought from this company

I am very upset this product appeared to work great then when I took it out instead of my trusty camelback blowfish it leaked all over me and my gear. I thought is was just the bladder sweating but there was water pooling in the bottom of the compartments. Don’t waste your money. They don’t make them like they used too. The pack function holds all my gear for a day trip. So that’s good but if the bladder doesn’t hold water that’s a problem. I’m going to buy a new bladder hopefully with the quick link cause the barbed fittings keep pulling on me I have no clue why. I will post a new review after I do that

great day hiking bag

I can fit everything I need for a day hike but is light enough for me to move freely. I only give it 4 stars though because it doesn’t have extra hooks to hang stuff and it’s hard to fit a nalgene in there when it’s full. Also, when I sweat it’s a little uncomfortable with the fabric on your back but the solution is just a tank with a full back.

Clips are terrible

I like the size & color of this pack but the clips that attach the top to the main pack are terrible & I struggle every time to connect it. Will probably return it. Otherwise a nice pack.

everything is great about Camelbak

This product is awesome. l had one, but the mistake l made was l left mine hanging on a hook in the shed with a mars bar inside it and the rats chewed through the bag and zippers and completely destroyed it. Not happy. l,ll just have to buy another. Worth every cent. l have purchased other cheaper brands and the bladders leak in every one of them or the zips break. Don,t cut corners by trying to buy inferior/cheaper products. You get what you pay for. Camelbaks are 10/10. Value for money. l have learnt by my mistakes. Camelbak Quality is KING.
