Works great

I used this to replace the rubber rim strip on a set of 90s MTB wheels. I found the adhesion to be plenty adequate and the tape was more robust than expected. I only cleaned the rims with a moist rag first then let everything dry - using an actual cleaning agent would be best. The actual application of the tape took about 1-2 minutes per wheel. I think these rims are internal width of 20MM so I purchased the the 22mm tape.

Rim tape doesn’t stick.

I have used this product in the past and was very pleased with the ease of application and how well it protected the tube from the spoke holes. but this pair was bad. One of them barely stuck to the rim, while the other didn’t stick at all. I would have returned them, but I wanted to ride the following morning. Hopefully the tire pressure will keep the tape from moving out of place. Either Velox is having quality control problems or the box I purchased was really old and had dried out.

Adhesive Backing Deteriorated

I had another roll of Velox tape that was sticky even after a few years of storage. I ordered a pack of two rolls and even without opening the pack I could see both rolls were unravelling. Sucks that I have to spend half of the cost of the product just to make a return. Is what it is. Next time will purchase in- store to avoid defective products.

Not great, am not satisfied.

Was hard to apply, did not stick very well. I felt ripped off. Too expensive.

Simple and effective

Quality product at a great price. It was exactly what i needed and solved the mysterious flats I was getting from the spoke hole exposures.

Repetitive flats fixed

Was getting flats and found abrasions on the tubes from the spoke nipples. Replaced oem rim tape with this Velox tape. Bought the wrong with, but was able to trim it with a razor after installation. No more flats

Rim liner

I have an old 80's Giant that I am rebuild and customizing. The original rim liner was fiberglass and completely shot. This fit perfect and was an easy install.

not so great

Bought this at my REI store in Marlton, N.J. and it will not stick to my rims so useless. Will be returning it. Used this rim tape in the past and loved it I guess I must have gotten a bad batch.

Classic Cotton Tape

Classic cotton rim tape for the win! This won’t support tubeless, but definitely fits the bill to cover the spoke holes and keep those tubes intact. I used this tape with DT Swiss R 460 rims.
