Awesome product like expensive Veilance. Great details in traditional bomber jacket. Look fashionable with technical functions. I used to buy size M for Arc’teryx clothing say Beta LT, Beta SL, Arris Jacket Etc. I bought Size L this time. Shoulders feel tight for size M. So happy to see such great piece in the Urban line. Hope to see more fashionable pieces combined with technical functions. Veilance is great but it is no longer worth to pay such expensive amount because most of them are Made In China now. I dun mind to buy products MIC but the price should be adjusted. Therefore so happy to see similar fashionable product in this reasonable price line. Manufacturing quality should be improved. The stitching is not straight mainly in the centre Zip areas. I checked five pieces still have same issues. I finally bought the most minor one. If quality improved, must five Star.
The Seton purchase was one that I was a bit worried about because I had only purchased items from the technical product lines. Now I'm worried the the more technical jackets I have (ex: Atom LT) won't get used. This jacket is a warm piece that fits well and looks great. If you like the bomber look and run warm, this is a great convergence. I wanted something that looked great in the city but performed like a technical jacket and this did not disappoint. Also, this is not the warmest jacket but that is fine by me since I run warm. I find that If I pair it with my Beta LT its warm and waterproof enough for any bar hopping mission in Seattle.
Very similar to the Atom LT, of which I have two, but more stylish. It is very roomy over the belly and torso. Almost too roomy. I would consider sizing down one notch if you plan on not layering under. When you sit down with the zipper up it sort of “balloons” up over the stomach and torso. The exterior fabric is more noisy than on the Atom (although my Atoms are a couple of years old so the outer fabric may have changed on the latest Atom as well, I wouldn’t know). Furthermore, I don’t like the arm cuffs on the Seton as they are too tight and it feels like they have more filling than the rest of the jacket. Would have preferred “normal” bomber cuffs in the arms instead as it is impossible to roll up the sleeves.
Very pleased with this jacket. I have a couple of bright coloured Atom LTs that I use in the back country. Was planning to buy a plain black one for city use when I came across the Seton. It’s exactly what I was looking for, and exactly what I expected after reading the reviews. I can’t believe it took so long for this to be designed. True to size, noting it is a regular fit and thus a bit baggier then the trim fit LTs - but this jives with the style. I don’t plan to, but still could layer this under my Thorsen if needed. A Cerium version next please...
Pros: The jacket delivers on being warm. I have used it on multiple days when the weather was anywhere from 10-50 degrees and it has always kept me warm. It is also nicely shaped so that conforms to the body nicely. I have not worn it in heavy rain but when it was lightly raining the water just beaded right off the jacket. Cons: The jacket does not have a hood, this would elevate the jacket to another level. Also I have gotten many comments about this looking like an "old man jacket". I would agree with this statement. Its design is not flattering.
The Seton is a wonderful "town" jacket. I have several Arc'Teryx products and the Seton measures-up. I needed a jacket that I could "knock" around in but also wear to work. I am a University Professor and the Seton works perfectly. My daughter is a Parson's School of Design graduate, she immediately complimented the "Old Man" on the how nice the Seton looked. With all my other technical jacket options in the Arc"Teryx line, the Seton provides the perfect off-trail/camp option
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm a huge fan of arcteryx. I own multiple jackets from the Atom LT/AR to the Cerium LT and Gamma. This is the first arcteryx jacket that has disappointed me. I wore it for the first time this weekend and the side pocket zipper jammed and tore the inside of the pocket. In addition, I find the jacket wrinkles quite easily and takes away diminishes the look and feel of the jacket. I hope this is my last negative experience with the company as I've been big supporter otherwise.

This is such a staple jacket for any guy to own. Not too heavy, can be casual or worn with a dress shirt for office days. Seriously versatile. Plus, they used the tyono fabric so if you own an Atom jacket that should excite you. You know how great it feels. Inside pocket didn't get skipped on this one either. I say hats off to your design team on this Seton jacket. Incredible. Please restock the black ones soon!
This jacket is a great combination of lightweight, warm, and windproof. There is a nice mixture of materials that enable this jacket to be breathable, but also surprisingly waterproof. There are panels under the arms and around the cuffs that stretch and breathe, and the pockets are lined with a fleece layer for added hand warmth. The jacket is nicely contoured / fitted for an athletic build.
This jacket has way more street style then the pictures lend itself to. It’s a great jacket for every day use around town and the city. I wear it almost exclusively on the west coast. It would be great for fall or spring in other climates. I also wore it as a base layer under a heavier jacket while back home in MD for the winter. Bonus points: I also get a ton of compliments on it.
