Featured, but not my favorite micro cams

I very much like my zero friends. However, after using them alongside Z4s (their main competitor in the US), I think I will be choosing Z4s for future micro cam purchases. The triggers on the zero friends are less bulky than other micro cams, which aids in tricky placements, but can also be more difficult to actuate. This also means that it can be easier to place them beyond the point of no return, so think twice before giving them to a new leader on a climb with deep placements. The stem shroud on the Z4 is, while bulkier than the zero friends’, more pleasant and makes for a smoother action. The main selling point of the zero friend is, in my opinion, their extendable sling (something that I very much wish more American companies would implement). Overall, very good micro cams, but not my favorite.

Tried and True

Lightweight, flexible, highly functional. Honestly some of the best cams out there. The action on them is very smooth and they are quite easy to place, durable and excellent bright colors to boot!

Cams are great, good quality. Only issue is that the cams lobes don’t have stoppers so u can’t use them as passive pro.
