One tiny improvement and they’ll be perfect
I love these camp blankets. The prints are rad, they pack down small and are easy to care for. *But* that are slippery, which is great for brushing off dirt, but means they slide off people easily, too. I would love to see REI make these with a few well-placed fabric strips and some buttons so it can be hooked onto a chair, a pack, or even worn as a poncho. C’mon, REI, add a few buttons!
Excellent addition to a quilt or summer quilt
I bought this because I had a 40 degree quilt and the temperatures were threatening to be around 45, and I wanted a buffer. This quilt was only 1 lb and could be added to my gear without dumping the weight of a heavier bag, or the purchase of a 400 quilt that was a 20 degree bag. With this I could use my quilt and stack this on top. It just adds some options. It's SUPER soft, and feels just as nice as my quilt at night. It does slide around a bit, so maybe next time I'll put it under the quilt instead of over, but having 2 does give me options. This guy is expensive but for me, it was well worth it.
Easy peasy instant warmth. Pls add one thing...
Great piece of gear, inside or out. Instantly warm, packs down. Slippery on both sides, maybe make a version with one brushed side?
Great camping blanket
This blanket is super comfortable and keeps you warm. It's very easy to stuff it back into the bag it comes in and doesn't take up a lot of space. Perfect for camping!
awesome blanket
I just received this blanket in the mail and it did not disappoint! Super lightweight but still warm. The perfect size for to snuggle up in the great outdoors.
Nice Camp Blanket
So far I have used at home on my hammock and it works great for mild nights (55-65 deg) as only cover over light foam pad. Surprising for its light weight. Packs nicely and feels great to the touch. Leaving for long camp trip tomorrow and I anticipate it will do just fine.
Fantastic camp blanket
Love this blanket for car camping. Big enough to wrap up in & stuffs down small for storage. Super warm considering the loft. Would love it in a few more colors.
Perfect for spoiled dogs
So I've been looking for a camp bed for my dog. I tried a Rumpl first and ended up returning it as soon as I opened it-- it was so so flimsy. The REI camp blanket is much studier feeling, almost half the weight, basically the same size, same price. It's warm, doesn't break the bank, my dog likes to nest so a blanket is better than just a pillow. This is a solid buy and perfect for what I needed.
very nice blankey
It would be much more useful with ties on the inner ends to double up with more or warmth, or connect dimensions for sun/ rain. The best would be a zipper/ snap thing in middle, to make all these blankets also ponchos. It’s too hard to just hold around you, especially if you’re active, and snaps don’t hold. The front of you gets cold. All the blankets need just a hole for your head. So simple/ functional/ could be a rain tarp as well or wrapped around bottom of hammock for warmth if it had that. Cocooned with another easily. Simple to do it you have sewing skills but this could be standard w all camp blankets. The lightweight synthetic fill next to down is a no brainer, feathers get wet and take forever to dry, no matter how much they say water resistant. Down is a nightmare. Synthetic is recyclable and doesn’t hurt birds. Also stays warm when damp, unlike loft.
Perfect!
Picked this up for my wife. After a quick trip I’m getting another for myself. Just perfect for late summer nights.
