Forgiving, weightless, awesome
Put on a few pounds over quarantine working from home. I found these and they're pretty forgiving. Nice length and slimming. I'm a usual size 12. I bought the XL and the L because REI has easy returns, for a year, and our local store was temporarily under government shutdown orders. I ordered online. The XL was nice and big and comfy, but the L will work better in the long run and they are still forgiving and very comfortable. In short, my message is to buy your pre-quarantine size and they'll suit you now and later. They wash very well too. They're pull-on shorts that you can wear up around the waist or low around the hips. I like them so much I may keep both pairs.

EXPENSIVE for POOR QUALITY FABRIC
I was originally excited about these shorts. Fit great and felt great. Wore them first time on a hike/climb up the Barr Trail to Pikes Peak. I bought another pair. I always washed them in cold water and hung dry (no dryer) and they look horrible after several wears/washes. They are so pilly now that they look embarrassing. I cannot wear anymore.

Big hips/butt? These are perfect!

I am *not* an outdoorsy person, and shorts are my nightmare. So when I decided to go on a trip to an equator-adjacent country, I panicked a bit. But these served me well: -No riding up. All shorts ride up on me, and these never did (even when climbing ruins). -Super lightweight. These never feel like I'm wearing something plasticity or smothering. -Quick dry. I got sweaty, okay?! -Look cute on big hips! If you have wide hips, a butt, and a bit smaller of a waist, these fit in a flattering way. Though they aren't as roomy in the thigh as the pictures here show, they end up shaping to your curves in a comfortable way! I'll never be fully comfortable with myself in shorts, but these are functional, comfortable, and flattering enough that I wanted to write a review.

Worth the price!

I bought two pairs of these shorts last year and was hoping they would offer a new color this year and they did! The fit is terrific and the pockets are just the right size. I love the length and that they are not too too short and not baggy. Now I have three pairs that I just rotate through on a weekly basis. They are definitely worth the price!

Make pockets a bit deeper please

Very comfortable pair of shorts, I just wish that the front pockets were about an inch deeper to hold my mobile phone...alas- it's the plague of women's shorts. Rarely can I find a pair that has a deep enough pocket to keep my standard sized phone from falling out. (I'm an active hiker & traveler and frequently envious of men's accommodating pockets).

Very comfortable!

The elastic waist does not have any adjustability so sizing is important. I am 5’7” 155lbs and I bought a large. Medium would have been better. These are pretty loose and I probably won’t wear them for hiking since they might not stay up while wearing a backpack. I thought I might be able to cuff the hem to customize the length but the leg pocket on the inside hangs too low.

Perfect shorts

These shorts have quickly become my favorite shorts! They're breathable, lightweight, wrinkle-free, stretchy, comfortable, and flattering. I'm 5'8" - 135 lb. I normally wear a size 6, and the medium fits me well. They hit a few inches above my knee. Awesome shorts!

Overall love , but quality control issue.

The first pair had a significant pucker in the back on the yoke especially above the pocket. I appreciated that the company allowed me to return and get another pair. The second pair still has pucker but not as bad. I am going to keep but a little disappointed. The material and fit is wonderful other than the pucker.

just ordered my third pair

I bought my first pair in the red color offered and since then, two more pairs this year! For reference, I am 5 ft 2 inches, 120 lbs with a 36 hip and the XS fits great on my 62 year old body. I love the length and how fast the fabric dries if I dip in a lake! I plan to wear with a tankini for swimming; it can be done! The back pocket accommodates my phone for short periods and I keep dog treats or lip balm the left cargo type pocket. Just love these shorts during the hot dry summers in N Calif! My absolute favorite!

RUN LARGE

I'm on the larger end of medium according to the size chart, but the medium was HUGE. I returned and ordered small in the black and reddish color. Reddish one fits perfectly and the black is so small I cant get it on! Sizing is off a inconsistent. Def. order down! Otherwise these are nice shorts.
