Good Gloves

Good gloves, glad I got them. Fit was as advertised. They keep my hands from getting sunburnt, and keep me from having to get all greased up with sunscreen. The leather grips are tough enough, but they are definitely not work gloves. I wish they didn’t look so much like golf gloves, but hey, they’re functional, so the styling isn’t that important. Not sure how the cooling crystals work, but they never seem to get too hot, so I guess it works. I haven’t worn them in temperatures past 90 degrees yet, and I live where it’s pretty dry, so the heat is different than somewhere with humidity, but they’ve been totally comfortable in the 80s. Would totally recommend these to friends.

Excellent

I purchased these gloves primarily for going to the grocery store / farmers market during the pandemic (rather that using the hospital-type gloves that aren't re-usable and don't "breathe"). The gloves "breathe" through holes on the palm side - no sweat as with the hospital gloves. An added benefit is that they protect against UV and the melanoma that can go with it. And they're comfortable. A great product...worth taking the time to write a review about.

outstanding

I have used these gloves backpacking with trekking poles for years. The protection is outstanding, they keep your hands cool in the desert heat and comfy on cool days. I use them so much hiking, backpacking I ware them out. For a lite glove they are durable I love them.

half marathon gloves

These are pretty much exactly was looking for. My husband and I were training for a half marathon (that was canceled) and I was concerned about sun protection for an activity that has a duration longer than the recommended frequency of sunscreen application. These gloves keep my hands dry and I can use my smartwatch while wearing them, all while providing UV protection. I like 'em a lot!

Fantastic, except palm too short and limited color selection

I'm definitely glad to have these gloves to protect my hands from the sun.  The fabric is soft and cooling. For driving, hiking, and paddling, the full finger option works best for me. Like another reviewer, I find the palm/body of the XS too short and a little tight, while the fingers of the S are impractically long. I wear the XS and tug on the cuff occasionally, to have the momentary sensation of the cuff seam being all the way off the heel of my palm. I'd love to have a few more color options. Perhaps solids that truly coordinate with any of the printed sun sleeves (I like the two together for finger coverage). Maybe black, a darker gray (as in Painted Hills), army green, smoky blue.

Best gloves even for summer time hiking

In place of sunscreen smeared all over my hands and wrists, I've been using these ActiveIce Chroma Full Sun Gloves instead. They work great! I was worried about the gloves being to hot for hot weather, but they are not hot at all. Even on days of 90 degrees and more, I forget I'm wearing these gloves. I use these gloves on all the hikes and backpacking trips I do now. They present no problems while using trekking poles either. Even on the brightest and sunniest days, I don't bother packing sunscreen any more. Check out OR's sun protective neck gaiters and sun sleeves too. They're all great.

Approved by a real vampire

I'm allergic to sunlight (Solar Urticaria) and have to cover my entire body when I'm outside or I'll go into anaphylactic shock and die. I have previously used Mechanix Covert Vent, they were very cool but the mesh on the back still allowed too much UV. The ActiveIce Chroma provide much more sun protection and keep my hands very cool despite wearing them constantly. Driving with them is much easier than with Coolibar gloves and their sticky palm/finger pads. My only real issue with these is the touch screen portion needs to wrap around the finger more and provide more consistent contact. That same change for all fingers would help the gloves last longer as the area around the fingernail will definitely be the first to fail.

Good Driving Gloves

Base of palm to middle fingertip measures 7 1/4", and I'm at the top of a small with a snug fit, which is what I wanted. Very good for driving and keeping sun off my hands. I had worried they wouldn't have grip on my leather steering wheel, but no problems. Haven't had them long enough to see how long they'll last, but they seem sturdy.

Excellent also in cool (40 degrees) hiking weather

I was looking for very light weight gloves that I could wear when hiking in cool temperatures. And these are perfect for that purpose. They do look a little bit like golf gloves as someone else mentioned but I agree with the other review: "hey, these are really functional and that's what matters" and they look great for golfing gloves :)

Perfect for multiple days on the water!

These kept my hands sunburn free while on full day kayak excursions in the Everglades. By the third day, the sensitive skin between my thumb and index were a little raw from the seams within the gloves, but that was mainly because we had tons of wind and had to paddle non-stop for several hours. I could imagine how blistered my hands would have been without the gloves. Would 10/10 buy these again. The finger detail that allows you to still use a touchscreen phone is also really nice and works great.
