Deceptively attractive and comfortable
These shoes look much better on the feet than one might think from their photo and the burnt olive color is appealing. Moreover, they are surprisingly (because no arch support) comfortable both with and without light-weight socks, and the roomy toe box enhances their comfort. I wore them without socks for about six hours one day while doing errands -- and my feet couldn't have been happier. Furthermore, the shoes can fold flat for packing and aren't very heavy. Because they run a bit small and would be even better with arch support, I am giving the shoes four stars instead of five. Nevertheless, I certainly recommend them.
Comfortable, breathable, packable
These shoes are comfortable, breathable, and packable. I was very surprised how flexible and and soft the shoes felt on my feet -- who knew recycled plastic could wear so well. I have worn them without socks and with no-show socks and find them shoes snug -- but not overly so. I also think that the the heel liner is a nice touch. The more I wear these shoes, the more they seem to mold to my feet. Although I was a little skeptical of the cork bottom, it has a nice bounce to it. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a casual, sustainable pair of slip ons.
Sleek, Earthy and very comfortable!
These shoes are even better than I was expecting! The green color is great and the toe area shape it great (I am oddly particular about this). These are really lightweight but super sturdy and are very breathable! They would be great for traveling or camp site shoes too. I have a heel injury that easily flares up from the wrong shoes and I was a bit suspicious of the soles on these when I first saw they but I have worn them all day for days and haven't had any issues at all! Super impressive! Plus, I love the material choice quality. Get them!
Comfortable & Smart
I generally don't wear shoes that don't have any arch support but I made an exception for these after reading that SAOLA is committed to using sustainable materials. I'm glad I did. From the moment I slipped my feet into these shoes I was hooked. There was no breaking in period. The comfortable heel pad made sure my heel didn't slip and the roomy toe box ensured my toes were happy, with or without socks. The rubber sole and cork insole aren't thick so I was worried how my feet would feel after walking around town all day. The upper material was breathable and had the right amount of give. I was happily surprised when at the end of the day my feet were not fatigued at all. These are my new grab and go shoes. I applaud SAOLA for their commitment to the environment. The shoes arrived in a biodegradable bag and each pair of shoes backs an environmental conservation product.
Eco sage wonders
Pictures dont do these things justice. I have the sage color and absolutely love how they look with any causal wear. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 in most shoes. I have the 7 and it works well without socks (the only way I plan to wear them). They do not seem small to size for me. Super impressed with the commitment toward sustainability with the use of recycled materials. Have felt breathable for current spring weather...will see how things go as it warms up.
Comfy and stylish eco footwear
These lightweight shoes are rather comfortable and look great too. There is plenty of room in the toe box and I love the bio soles. I have high arches, so I'll be putting an insert in these. I've only worn them in cooler weather but they look like they will breathe well on hot, muggy days in the summer. I like the flexibility of looks that these shoes can be worn with, what a great buy!
Environmentally Comfortable Shoes
At first glance Saola Sequoia shoes are not a fashion statement. However upon closer inspection, I discovered that they are environmentally friendly, as they are made of recycled material. From a social conscienous perspective they now take on a whole new meaning! I had my doubts as to how comfortable they would be as there is hardly if any built in arch. The first time I wore them, I questioned my size choice: 8.5, however, I soon realized how comfortable they were and after a few wears, they stretched out a bit. I consider myself to be a 8.5 /9 and do not regret my initial choice in size. Additionally, these shoes for how minimalist they are, are suprisingly comfy! I am impressed with SAOLA's commitment to our environment while at the same time being able to develop a shoe that one can run around in doing errands, or stand for 7-8 hours in and not feel discomfort! Here's to you SAOLA!
Comfortable and easy to wear
These are incredibly comfortable shoes! They molded around my feet and are comfortable with or without socks. The soles seem sturdy and I was able to wear these on uneven terrain without any issues. And I really appreciate the company’s commitment to sustainability!
Comfy slip-ons for around town
Overall, this is a great shoe. Eco-friendly and vegan give it a plus. I do wish there was a bit more arch support and the shoes seems to run a little small. I wouldn't walk all over the city in these but for running errands they are perfect.
