These shoes are great! They are lightweight and comfortable right out of the box. The laces stay tied unlike my Oboz Sawtooth hikers, but I still love the comfort of those too and it's easy to just tie a double knot. Oboz just works for my feet, I have plantar fasciitis and they have enough support. If I am needing more I am able to replace the insole with my plantar specific ones and still have plenty of comfort. The heel can sometimes feel like it's slipping a little but a runner's knot fixes that with no issue. The grip on the soles is really nice too. As long as I can find these I will continue to buy them.
Oboz is upping their game on lightweight hikers! I just purchased the Oboz Arete in Blush and love the fit, stability, comfort and color. They are stylish enough to wear around town and great for light and quick hiking. I love how Oboz fits so well right away-no break in period. And the OFit insole provides amazing cushioning and support. No need to buy after market insoles. I highly recommend these lightweight and stylish hikers.
I don’t use these for hiking, I actually use the, for work. I work on concrete for 8 hours a day. I’ve tried lots of different shoes with not much luck. Finally tried my hikers and they held up the best, just a bit of over kill for my job. So I went searching for right hikers and gave these a try and love them. I won’t use them for rugged 15 mile hike but they are great for wearing around town, with much better support them regularly tennis shoes.
I love this style so much that I have three pairs. I have plantar fasciitis, high arches, and a tendon injury in my foot. I use them for everything from hiking to walking to everyday wear around town. They are immediately comfortable on the feet, have great arch support and are lightweight. Highly recommend.
Perfect fit and for light trails and city walking.
I'm loving these for day hikes. Super comfortable - lots of room in the toe box for my slightly wider foot, but snug enough for my narrower ankles. Love the look, as they are only slightly on the feminine side, but not garish or overly girly. The traction seems to be good. But, I have not yet tried them on ice or snow.
I REALLY wanted to like these, my Oboz Sawtooth hikers are some of the best shoes I’ve ever owned. But as other reviewers have mentioned the fit in the heel is so loose that your heel slips around in the shoe regardless of how you adjust the laces :/
I too was hoping all oboz would fit the same. Unfortunately, I found this shoe style to be much looser in the heel than the sawtooth or Bridger styles. It slipped right off of my foot! For me, oboz are the best shoe for waterproofing, comfort, and stability. I think I’ll give the new Firebrand a try next!
I was hoping that all Oboz shoes fit the same. However, this shoe is very narrow and not as much toe room as my Luna Low.
Very comfortable from the first time I put them on. Ample support, no back pain when hiking in these shors. Toe box is wide enough to allow toes to stretch and relax when walking. I love my Oboz.
