They stay where they're supposed to
Got these shorts in anticipation of a multiday bike tour. They look great with well placed pockets and more importantly, don't bunch up while you ride. They stay down and feel comfortable while riding all day. they look good when you stop somewhere off the bike.

Very tight legs
I really liked these for the material but ended up having to return them because the fit in the legs was too tight to use for riding. The waist fit really well but the leg fit restricted movement for me - something to consider if you’ve got larger legs.

Excellent bike shorts - my new favorite

I love these Patagonia Landfarer mountain biking shorts. They have just enough room, without looking like a baggy, overly-long downhill short. I have found these shorts to be durable, without being too thick or overbuilt for the purpose. They're the perfect fabric weight for me. I have taken a couple spills over the past two months, without any damage to the shorts. My only concern is whether the waist spandex at the rear of the short will be durable long-term. Patagonia could improve this by adding pull-tabs or similar design, so that if/when the spandex loses its elasticity, the shorts waist could be adjusted. I would categorize these shorts for all-mountain/cross-country mtb riding. If your riding category is more bombing downhill on ski mountains look elsewhere.

Good fabric, ok fit

This is an initial review after one ride. Material feels very high quality. Thin and relatively breathable but tough. Pockets are ok. I wish they had normal side pockets but whatever. Fit is medium-long, but short to medium for mountain bike shorts. I'm 6' with longish legs and standing they graze over the top of my knee caps. Haven't tried with pads yet but I think some shorter ones will gape, most wouldn't. Only fit complaint is I would like a slightly higher rise. They aren't low per se, but another half inch would be perfect. Waist is true to size.

Comfortable, but NOT durable for biking

These shorts are less than two months old and already have a big hole. Only took them out on the trail a few time and they didn't last long. I wasn't expecting an $80 pair of shorts to rip so quickly doing what they are designed for. I love Patagonia for how long their products last and was super bummed these couldn't handle a few rides.

Get out on the trail!

Great fit! Well crafted. Though the color stated it was blue (maybe a hint of blue), it’s closer to smoke grey.

Not worth the money

I bought these 1/12/21 and after maybe 30 uses, two seams are ripping out. Material seems good and is comfortable but the thread to hold it together SUCKS.

My Go To Bike Shorts

These are the most comfortable pair of mountain biking shorts I own. There's room without being overly baggy and the stretch material moves in all the right places. Great shorts if you wear a hip pack as theres no belt to catch on.

So far so good.

I bought these to replace a pair of Pearl Izumi shorts that failed. These have been great so far. They stretch and they have zippers keeping stuff inside my pockets.
