The Perfect Day pack!

I am so pleased by this product. In order to give it a good test- I went on an 8.5 mile hike up Mt. Moosilauke in NH and this pack not only held up- but it surpassed my expectations and here’s why: The support is phenomenal. We’ve got straps to take the pressure off every point of your back without giving your hips any kind of blisters or soreness. In fact- I got into a pretty bad car wreck a few years ago and usually after a hike with my old backpack my shoulder would be screaming- but not with the Juno. Everything was very easily adjustable- and to make things even better there is a mesh backing that keeps the pack off of your mid back in a successful effort to keep the sweat from pooling. Can we please take a minute to talk about compartments?? They’re everywhere. And they’re very, very convenient. I had my camera, snacks and dog bags ready in the hip pockets, all of my snacks and extra layers in the main pouch, my keys in the top and plenty of space for things like my ID, a ball and water dish for my dog and even an extra water bottle- however I didn’t need it because... Dang. That’s a huge water bladder. After an initial first sip plastic taste- I had seemingly endless fresh water whenever I wanted which allowed me to keep moving and make better time on my hike. No more fumbling around for my water bottles in the middle of the trail. Just a steady pace right up to the top while staying sufficiently hydrated. Not only is this pack highly functional- it also looks beautiful. I got it in the coral color and loved the strong, feminine build of it- it conformed to my body and I always love pops of color in my gear. Absolutely will be recommending to all my friends and I can’t wait for all future adventures with My Juno girl.

Disappointed

I had this pack sent to my local store so I could try it. I tried it in the store after an employee stuffed it. I am not new to Gregory packs but I wanted something with a capacity between my Maya 16 and a 12 year old Jade 35 that went trekking far and high. After I tried it in the store it seemed to fit well. But I wasn't crazy about the back panel. I guess this pack has a frame, but I didn't like the design of that frame so much (the frame panel above the shoulders). I took it home anyway and paid closer attention. The first thing I noticed (but didn't notice in the store) was that the side water bottle pockets are so narrow that I couldn't put a regular Nalgene bottle. The pack comes with a hydration reservoir, but I never pay attention to that as I can't stand drinking from a tube. I never did! The first thing I do is remove that reservoir. So I got really annoyed. I understand that pack companies want to cater to those who love drinking on the go (that is taking a few sips every few steps). I don't feel, and have never felt a need to sip and so called "hydrate on the go". I have gone on very tough climbs and treks and I don't mind stopping for water. There is nothing wrong stopping when we feel we need some water. Stopping is, and has always been, a way to relax on the trail. I do not understand the obsession with non-stop walking and a need for taking sips from a tube. I get it, some people do like this technology, but this pack should have offered the option for carrying decent water bottle for those who dislike being intubated!. This lack of consideration for those who use bottle made me disgusted. As soon as I saw that, I returned it. A 24 L pack should offer decent water bottle pockets. The pack felt too rigid but it could be good if one needs to carry technical gear. Another thing I didn't like was the loop for the poles. I wouldn't trust them and compared to those on my old Jade pack, those on the Juno 24 aren't good enough. Also, I like pole holders on each side of the pack. I think the Juno has them on one side only. I wanted a pack that could carry some camera gear, but there is no way to hook a small lightweight tripod on this. I'm looking now into the Maya 22 since I have the 16 and love the Maya 16. I wish I had noticed all the problems in the store, but I didn't, and had to make another 60mile round trip to return the pack. I was very disappointed.

Weird fit

I purchased the Juno 24 hydro. The hard frame for the back of pack extends about 4 inches above the shoulder straps. It bumps into the back of my head above the neck. I’ve never seen anything like this before. See photos. I have 2 other Gregory packs and really liked them. I’m very disappointed in this new pack

Perfect all day pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack is so great! It hit all the specs I was looking for in a pack: hip belt with big pockets, stuff compartment on the back, included a water bladder and back ventilation. The hip belt pockets are super roomy and easily fit my iPhone X. It's the perfect size for a long all day hike, I took it with me on a 15 hour hike where I had extra layers, water, lots of food and some room to spare. The water bladder is also so great, it holds 3 liters, the lid screws on with ease, I didn't have any issue with the magnet connection. Overall a great purchase! #sweepstakes

Maybe not great for shorter folks.

The gregory water pack that comes with is the best I've ever had. Love the cap mechanism and I like that you have to bite it to drink water, never spills. comfortable, spacious, light. Great for long day trips. So close to being great. I'm 5'0" and not a very long toro. I've used on 5+ trips ranging from 5 - 10+ miles. I can feel the plastic support on the backside hit the base of my skull when I hike. Maybe i don't how to adjust it well, but if i lower it, it sits too low on my butt. My husband uses it now for his day trips and use another smaller one.

great pack!

I bought this pack recently to replace one from another popular brand that was slightly smaller, and have put in around 20 miles with it. What an improvement! I love the structure of this bag. The compression straps are low enough on the main zipper that I can still quickly access the main compartment, without unclipping them. the back ventilation is great. Even when the pack is full, the bladder is super easy to remove, fill, and replace. My only gripe is that I wish there was an easier way to route the hose to my other shoulder. Otherwise, it's perfect! Fits all of the layers needed for unpredictable mountain weather, plus lunch/snacks and my 10 essentials. I've already gotten lots of compliments on the blue color too. :)

Perfect larger daypack

I love every Gregory Pack that I’ve bought in this is no different… It has great features with lots of pockets and my favorite part is that the mouthpiece is magnetic to the chest strap. The color is a really gorgeous pumpkin orange. The fit is great and I love when companies make backpacks specifically for a woman’s body.

Horrible leaking water bladder...otherwise pack ok

The pack is great. Keeps sweat off my back and the weight of the pack off my shoulders. Is a little large for some hikes, but I love the front pockets in which to keep snacks & electrolyte cubes. The water bladder is the worst. omg. Gregory...seriously...there is a reason the camelback packs are the worst...the bladders with the twist on cap. If you don't get it just right and even if you DO....the thing leaks. Tonight in getting my pack ready for a hike tomorrow, the bladder leaked all over my counter onto my floor and I am over it. NEVER will I buy a gregory pack again. Osprey will be my next. Or anything that doesn't have that design flaw.

Ehh not bad could Be better

Bought based on reviews and was very excited to get on sale during Black Friday. I’ve been using my bf osprey talon 22 so that’s all I have to compare it to. I like that it comes with the hydration pack already included bec I feel like you save money in that aspect. Accommodates 2 water bottles and smaller pockets for snacks and other things. Sunglasses holder is a plus. Side straps fit small items like chapstick or snacks. Was also looking for one that had the air flow in the back for hikes and one that carries my hiking sticks so that fits the bill What I do not like: the backboard is like a stiff washboard as mentioned in someone else’s review I don’t know why it bothers me but it’s way more prominent than the other backpack I used that has this. The bag itself falls over and won’t stay put unless you place against a wall or something. I’m not a fan of the strap that goes across the chest -prefer the clip style and don’t know how to explain what this is but it’s not the same as clipping and unclipping. I don’t feel like the bottle holder on the side is big or wide enough. Barely enough room to get my yeti water bottle to fit and you can’t reach back and do it like I’ve done with other backpacks- I have to really work it in there. Overall- it’s not terrible but not sure I’d purchase again. Also I take when I travel in airports and felt like even with the hydration pack not included it’s so slim to get anything to fit in the main part of the bag.

Go to backpack

This is my go to pack for spring/summer/fall hiking- it’s the perfect size to fit 10 essentials, a 3L bladder, plus extra water for my dogs. The fit is super comfortable and has all of the right pockets. I love the side pockets- the hold items securely but I can still remove/put them back without removing my pack which is something I can’t say for other packs I’ve used. So easy to utilize the pockets/ features and as usual with Gregory, quality and design are on point, such a great pack!
