Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Perfect, Comfortable, Fashion.
This jacket has features in all the right places. I love the hood adjustability, the pockets, and the buttons at the bottom side seams which snap open or closed to help keep you mobile on stairs, and in seats. It layers perfectly over the light weight rei womens down parka and both together performed beautifully for our Christmas trip to London and Dublin. The rain jacket is soft enough to wear as a daily layer without that crinkly feeling that other rain jackets have. Layered over a sweater it makes the perfect jacket for sealing in the warmth in weather in the 40s-50s. Rolls up nicely into a bag when not in use, taking up maybe 1.5 liters of space. Makes a great layer for winters in Texas, and keeps the moisture out during heavy rain storms. Consider sizing up for layering purposes.
Love this shell: longer length, roomy enough for warm layers, light enough to stash in a backpack, adjustable waist. The sleeves are on the long side (I’m tall with long arms, so this is unusual), but this doesn’t bother me. Love the bright poppy color. Exactly what I wanted in a rain shell.
Love the look and fit of this coat. Ordered a Medium ( I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs ave build), fit perfect, sleeves are long and had to rolled up. Took it with me on a recent trip to Japan, got caught in a torrential downpour, jacket keep me dry. When I had to put it back on less that a hour later the coat was damp and cold even with several layers underneath. Liked that it could be rolled up and put into my back pack. Snaps were hard to use and zipping it took several try's. The jacket is just a shell, it is not lined, it is roomy enough to layer underneath.Sadly I'm going to be returning the jacket.
I wanted to love this jacket—it's a great fit and color, nice and lightweight. But, if you're planning to actually be out in the rain then you're definitely going to get wet under the jacket. I wear this while walking my dog in the rain—need to have a coat that's actually waterproof since I don't use an umbrella. This coat might protect against a light mist, but direct rain starts seeping through the jacket within about 15 minutes of being outside in the rain. I haven't washed the coat (so it didn't lose any waterproofing that way). Super disappointed in the functional quality here, planning to return.
I love this jacket..fit, red color and length..however, it is advertised as waterproof (even the clerk said it was) and it ISN’T WATERPROOF. That is the reason I bought it. If it were, it would be my favorite jacket. Very disappointed in this REI rain jacket.
I like this jacket a lot- it does run on the slightly bigger side, so go smaller if you're deliberating between two sizes. For reference, I'm 5'6, 155lbs, and I'm really happy with the medium. I've wanted a mid-length raincoat for a long time, but I couldn't afford to buy a 3-in-1 coat that dominated selections for that style. This coat is a great length for winter in Seattle, where traditional rain jackets allow your pants to get soaked by rain in a very short time. My only complaint is that there isn't a secret inner pocket that I've become accustomed to in all of my coats to stash my bus pass or cash. Still five stars- I'm happy with my investment.
I live in Central America and rainy season it pours. In my mind I had a rain jacket, long enough to cover past my bum and to hide a bag in as well with a hood that would also cover my face. Well I finally found it. I think it’s over priced but it’s what I really needed. I left my first one on a chicken bus, but later my friend and I ran Into a man who was desperately searching for freedom in the mountains of quetzaltenango. We fed him have him a place to sleep and shared the gospel with him and he was baptized in water and Holy Spirit… so loosing my jacket was worth it.. But i needed a new one and I found another option in my favorite color. :)
I loved the fit of the earlier version of this raincoat, which felt a little stretchy, and I bought in an XS. I'm 5'7" and about 115 lbs (size 2 in most brands). The XS in this new one was too small in the bust (fit fine everywhere else), and I tried on a similar raincoat in the store in the REI brand, which was too small in the bust as a S. It's too bad since I like being able to swing my arms while hiking, but the tightness makes it not very practical. If you're large-chested, you might need to go up a size (or two)--I will not be repurchasing this since I like my clothing a little more form-fitting.
First the good: Made out of recycled material AND fair trade so I feel good about wearing it. The length is also great - covers your butt which is great if you stop to take a rest on a trail. There are also some really thoughtful features, including an internal drawstring and adjustable wrist openings. Some things that I didn't love: There isn't a lot of give in the hips. As a woman with wider hips, it fit well everywhere except my hips and butt. Overall a really great raincoat, especially for warmer spring/summer rains.
