Excellent coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product in October 2019 for my 10 year old son. He lives in upstate New York where the winters are brutal. My son loves his coat and always says he is comfortable and warm. I appreciate the quality of Marmot products.

Great for petite women/AFAB folks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs and I bought this jacket in XL cause I'm not always a fan of the shape/darting on women's jackets and wanted a more relaxed fit. It's packable, a good value, and keeps me dry! I wear this jacket constantly up here in the Pacific Northwest. Only issue I have is that the sleeves come up a tad short, but most of the time I don't even notice. I'll also mention that the jacket's waterproofing will only go so far, but the only time that has ever been a problem is when I'm cycling in the pouring rain for extended periods. For the price, I think it's an awesome deal.

Industry standard for rain jackets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a men’s precip jacket before you could order much online (late 1990’s) and it lasted as the perfect shell for 15+ yrs, had others since and nothing compares. Told myself I’d only buy my kids things I would be happy with (long lasting, great weight) so I passed this favoritism on and told him how much I valued this product in comparison to other brands. Honestly and river rat and ski patroller knows the precip has always ruled Thanks Marmot

Go to packable layer.
This is my son’s second PreCip jacket. It lives in his pack for all his summer adventures. From all day mountain bike rides to soccer practice it is perfect. The PreCip packs small and keeps him dry when the afternoon thundershowers roll in. His last one lasted him 4 years before he grew out of it and it was still in good enough shape to hand down to a younger friend.

Great jacket/bad color name
Love the style/quality of rain coat, but bought it because my daughter really wanted a blue coat. This jacket is really much more green than it is blue so should be renamed, and the color of the photo online really isn't accurate. I realized after buying I made the same mistake a few years ago when I bought in a smaller size!

way too big
Yikes. Kids sizes appear to be way off. Watch out! My son is a very large 19 month old and is very tight in Carters/Disney 2T but he is swimming in his jacket. i was very upset because i was trying to buy a rain jacket for this year not 2 years from now. Recommend sizing the product in store first if you plan to shop online

Performance
These are great jackets —adult performance and construction sized for a kid. I wish it had some other adult features, like tabs on the cuffs to tighten and loosen them to make use with layering and winter gloves easier, but the jacket functions extremely well in the rain and as a hard shell in the snow.

Great jacket, second purchase!
Second time buying this jacket after oldest kid outgrew it. Handed the first one down to younger kid, still in excellent condition! Great quality, light weight and comfy. I especially like the length of the sleeves and extra cover in the hood.

Great jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A bought this jacket for both my kids and it’s awesome! They love it! They usually complain about wearing a rain jacket but I had no complaints! It fit well, the pockets were deep enough for their phones an handheld games!

Son Loves It!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second one I've bought for my son. Great for everyday use and backpacking trips when we're not expecting a ton of rain. Won't stand up in a downpour for very long, but great for 90% of situations.
