Nice enough boot, seems like good quality. The folks at REI assured me this was for a narrow foot. I tried it on in the store, it seemed good enough. I then tried it while skiing and found it to be a too wide footbed for me. I didn't have as much control as I wanted and had a lot more rubbing. Will have to return as this is not a good fit. On a side note, I originally tried on a size 40 for my size 8 feet. I have an older pair of rossignol touring boots that fit great at that size. But the 40 was way too big. The 39 was barely long enough but way too wide. The boot quality seems good enough, but just not a good fit for me.
These boots are great for XC skiing and keep your feet warm in the cold weather. My problem is the laces! I’ve been using these boots since December and not only do the laces hurt your hands when you go to tighten your boots, but mine have already snapped! If you purchase these boots be aware that you might have to replace the laces pretty quickly. It might be because these laces are round and unwaxed and the grommets on the boot are all metal? I guess I expected them to last longer than 10 uses. Now I have to buy new laces.
