All items in the package are quality. The harness as well. I'm a 170lb 5'11" man with a 30/32"" waist and I can get the medium over my butt if I suck it in and summon the strength of the old gods to pull it over.

Looks and feels like nice quality but the sizing is way off. I wear a size 31 waist in pants and it said order a medium if between 30"-33" waist. I cant even get this thing over my butt. I undid the strap completely and was able to squeeze it on but the strap adjustment is on the very end when tight and just doesn't look or feel right.

My son turned 16 and is interested in rock climbing. So, I did the best thing for him, buy a Black Diamond Momentum Harness Package for his Birthday gift. His buddies surprised him and met him on top of Gibraltar Rock. He opened his present from me and was so excited. He spent the next 4hrs climbing in his new gear and loved it. A perfect gift for a perfect day!

This isn't the best harness around but it is very far from the worst. This was my first harness and for the price it is probably the best harness to start out climbing with. You aren't going to break the bank buying this set and you get everything you need to start climbing and belaying all at once. I have used it for top rope and for leading and haven't had any problems or damages to it yet. I do want to mention that the color of the chalk bag my vary (not sure) but the color of the bag in the picture is red and I got a blue bag...not complaining about it because the blue fits the scheme better but it it worth noting that you may receive a different color bag than pictured.

The Momentum harness is a nice light-weight harness that is comfortable to wear that doesn't break the bank. I have used mine in the local climbing gym, outdoors in Rock Canyon, as well as down in Southern Utah dropping into some fantastic canyons. The package gives you everything you need to start--and is an awesome value.

Great beginner climbing set up

I got back into climbing for the first time in about 5 years last summer and climbed at Least 2 weekends a month into the fall. I was looking to start getting gear and came across this harness. The harness fits well it can be worn all day for multiple days comfortably never had any discomfort. It is durable for a beginner harness and it can take a fall which is the most important part. I highly recommend this harness. I haven’t used this ATC because I have a Wildcountry revo but I have lent it out and it functioned well. My harness actually didn’t arrive with the ATC but I contacted black diamond and they sent me one at no cost great customer service. The chalk bag is great and I like the color. This set gives you everything besides a helmet and shoes to start climbing and those can often be borrowed if climbing in a group. An affordable, durable, and comfortable beginner setup.
