Easy to use..not oily
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sun screen it's simple and easy to use. You simply spray it on and boom done.. I didnt find it too oily or sticky lost most sun screen products. I MUST SAY this is my now go to product for spf protect..And I love that it felt protected all day. The bag is so cute and great to carry the bum spray..
Thick coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy spray on sunscreen. Rubs in well with a thick coverage. Doesn’t just disappear like some brands. The smell is very refreshing as well and isn’t too strong. I did not reapply after 80 minutes and didn’t get burned. I would buy this product in the future.
Smells great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This worked great on the kids and smells really good! It’s nice to have a sprayable natural sunscreen. It sprayed smoothly, but comes out a little thick and needs to be rubbed in. It’s rubs in easily though, and helps to get full coverage!
Excellent sunscreen for sensitive skin
I always prefer mineral based sunscreens and this is one of the best I've found. It's very lightweight and doesn't irritate my skin, even on my face. It does have a white sheen like mineral sunscreens usually do when it first goes on but that disappears after you rub it in. Just be careful when putting it on as it will show up on clothing, especially black clothing, if you're not careful, but once it's on and well rubbed in, I haven't had any issues with it transferring to clothes. It seems to stay on even after being in water and protects well. It's a bit spendy, but worth it.
I want to love it!
Bought, used and loved this product last summer. In preparation for this summer we placed another big order. Seems the spray is more viscous this year? Shook the bottle but nothing sprayed. It just slowly oozed into a small puddle at the top. I love it on my skin. I burn easily and this is great for reapplying when it works. Sadly, I’ve already placed an order w/ another brand bc I’m on the beach and need to keep my skin safe.
Absolutely Horrible
I bought this when it was the only option in the store after finishing a bottle of non mineral SunBum spray. This is not the same. It immediately stains everything on your body white. It was all over my black bathing suit and took multiple scrubbing hand washes to get the stains out, and still is not fully out of my bathing suit. It stained my skin white and took two showers to scrub it off. To make matters worse I still got sunburnt with the use of SPF 50. Absolutely avoid this at all costs, it is not worth the price for the damage to your clothes and your skin.
I got sunburnt!
I love the outdoors, hence I have tested many different brands of sunscreen (both sprays and creams). To reduce my exposure to chemicals such as oxybenzone, I decided to try Sun Bum Mineral Spray. It is rare to find a mineral-based sunscreen in spray form. Upon application, this product left a white chalky substance on my skin (typical for a zinc-based product). To my surprise, after spending 1-2 hours in the sun, I got sun burnt! If you care about your skin, stick to a well-known suncream brand (or a zinc cream). I do NOT recommend this product!
Poor Quality
I bought this product for a trip to an area that required reef friendly sunscreen for people to swim in the ocean. When I used this product on myself and my boyfriend, it did not properly blend in and left white residue all over, making us look like a ghosts. It also did not protect us from getting sun burnt all over our backs, chests, and shoulders, even though we consistently reapplied. It was a bummer to have a bad experience with this sunscreen because I am a huge fan of all the other products Sun Bum has to offer.
i love this sunscreen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best all mineral sunscreen for the body that I’ve used so far. I’m very fair, and I did notice a slight white cast as I was applying it that went away very quickly (but I can’t say for sure it would go away as completely on someone with darker skin). I don’t dread putting this on and I don’t rush to wash it off because I don’t feel it and I forget it’s even there. It is Gluten free, paragon free, oxybenzone free, vegan, hypoallergenic and retinyl palmitate free. This is best sunscreen for my family.
The best mineral sunscreen!
I am very familiar with reef-safe, zinc oxide sunscreen living in Hawaii, and this product is the best one I’ve tried. If you know anything about zinc oxide sunscreens, you know they will ALL give you a white cast because that’s how physical sunscreens do their job! What I love about this is it’s a spray on which isn’t common for mineral sunscreens, but it’s also a thin consistency that allows you to rub it in quicker than your average zinc based creams. This really makes my job easier when applying on my kids.
