Broke after 1 use

I bought a pair earlier this year and unfortunately broke one only a few hundred yards into using them. One of the problems, I think, is that the 2 widths they come in, are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I had to size up to the 120mm ones for my 106mm ski. I think what may have happened is that one ski knocked the crampon slightly out of alignment while walking so when you step back down, it snapped where it attaches on the side. A medium width would probably solve the issue, because if there’s maybe only 1-2mm on either side, there’s no way it can get bumped out of its alignment. Hopefully Salomon will listen to user feedback and offer more options next season.

Salomon Shift crampons

Junk. Shift crampons are incredibly flimsy. I have now broken two pairs. They each broke in just a few uses. All it takes to break these crampons is to step on ice or hard packed snow, exactly the reason why you are using them in the first place. Potentially if you are very light they won't break, anyone else don't bother buying them.
