I searched a long time for the type attachment.
I got these retainers because they have ends that actually hold eye glasses. They really hold glasses better than the type that must be adjusted several times times a day. These retainers even resist the onslaught of my cat gnawing on them if she can reach them. I have to hide the retainers when I go to bed to keep her from chewing on them.
Don't be like everyone else
Don't be one of those people that spends $60 plus on sunglasses and then goes on an adventure and loses the glasses. It so convenient to have your glasses around your neck when you need to put them down. The length is good to go over your head when you want to remove, and short enough it does not get in the way of your activities.
Plenty of choices for eyewear retainers...
While visiting my nearest REI store a few weeks ago, I browsed the aisles and displays for items I couldn't live without. That's becoming a greater impossibility as times passes after having been an REI member for over fifty years. Finding the Chums rack, I sorted through the different styles and colors and settled on a Slip Fit Rope style with blue iridescent rope. Like many active eye-glass wearers, I bought several pairs before, but somehow always managed to lose or misplace them. I must confess that my previous pair is the style with the very thin wire-like cable with adjustable keepers over both ears. It was difficult to keep them adjusted so that my glasses did not slip down my nose, or too tightly that my eye lashes would leave an oil smudge on the interior of both lenses. My new pair seems to have the correct measure of adjustability. Thanks REI, for your selections of great active outdoor gear.
Perfect for my reading glasses!
After wasting $ on pharmacy offerings to keep my reading glasses around my neck, i finally tried this and it works beautifully! I use this everyday and have had for long enough to give 5 stars. I have the one for thin, slim frames, couldn't be happier.
Chums is the answer.
No more Croakies for me. Chums has an amazingly tight gripper for the glasses, non slip, doesn't get loose, ever. Glad I went in to the store this time and found a great match for my needs. Yeah, I'm that person who wears their sjnglasses like jewelry.
Rubber ripped first time
Tragically, the rubber ripped when I tried putting it on my first pair of sunglasses :( I was specifically trying to be careful, but I think the ear part of the sunglasses I had were too wide for these

Bought this to replace an old Crokee and it’s even better! It does a great job of holding my glasses right where they need to be and it’s easily adjustable
Another use
I am using it to hold two items close together. It is easy to tighten and release when I need to. Age73 location Emeryville CA.

I bought these for work to keep my safety glasses from falling off and they work so well! Im sad i didnt buy them sooner.
