Amazing crampon for ice and mixed climbing

The Dart is great at climbing steep ice and mixed climbing, the points are easily swapped from mono to dual or even offset if you want. I really like mine set up in the mono point configuration as they climb ice and mixed amazingly well. My feet feel solid and secure even when the ice is super cold and brittle. The anti ball plates do a good job of keeping the snow from sticking and the heel lever is pretty low profile so it doesn't interfere with the heel of my boot. It does take some tinkering to get the heel lever dialed so read the instructions. It is really cool that you can mix and match different parts from Petzl's crampons to adapt them to different climbing styles without buying an entire crampon.

Great Ice Climbing Crampons

I use these for a ice climbing trip to Hyalite Canyon in Montana this winter and they are fantastic. They fit perfectly with my sportiva Nepal cubes. They come with the option of being dual point which I plan to use for an Alpine trip this summer but with the single point they were great for steep ice climbing. I work as a guide at Pisgah climbing school and this is what we often recommend for clients looking to buy their own crampons

Peerless

Best Ice/Mixed crampons in the game. Fit beautifully with all my Sportiva boots. The adjustability and serviceability are top notch. Very user friendly, I couldn't fault these at all after a heavy Ice/mixed season climbing almost every weekend for 3+ months. Amazing steel in the front points. 10/10.

Good on WI and trail.

I have used Lynx and Dart for ice climbing. Both performed well. But I am so glad I bought Dart. Great on ice and excellent walking on ice and rocks or whatever. I own a lot of gears, and only two pieces I consider perfect - La Sportiva Napal Cube & Petzl Dart. The rest have some flaws. Too bad I have no reason to buy a second pair.

Great for kicking things

Strap these bad boys to your boots and go on a kicking spree! Good at kicking into ice, trees, cardboard boxes, good at poking on rocks. And if your super flexible, try a rousing game of foot ninja! It's like fruit ninja but with your foot

Excellent!1

Guide approved! All the AMGA guides I climb with in the ADK wear the darts. They fit my LaSportiva Nepal evos at size 45.
