Good in the Garden
I bought these so I can keep up with the yard work in the rainy seasons (I knew they weren't made for winter seasons here in WA). I use to do restoration work and a few of my coworkers had these boots with salmon print on the inside and I was hooked. I have very narrow feet and I wear a size 7.5 so I got a size 8. I almost thing a 9 would be better because of how snug they are when you put them on. The more I think about it, it makes sense because the snugness holds the boots in place and they feel secure on my feet. I never feel concerned they will slip off while walking or standing up after sitting down. I would not recommend wearing in the cold/winter seasons as these have no insulation and very difficult to wear with thick socks (unless I got a size 9). If I don't wear them with the intention of keeping my feet warm AND dry, they're great. I look forward to warmer seasons where these will make great muck boots at the barn.

Narrow toes, wide heel
I really wanted to like these shoes because I loved the beautiful print inside, but the fit doesn't work for me. The toe box and mid-foot fit snuggly (borderline too tight with a thick sock) but even with a thick sock my heels are swimming, so every step I take my heel lifts up and rubs against the back. It's so uncomfortable, and going to give me blisters right away. Usually women's shoes have narrower heels than this... Going to have to return. Other than that, the boot seems well made.

Perfect for wet weather and beach days!

I purchased these in October and have taken them to the WA and OR coast multiple times. They’re perfect for walking the beach and for any rainy activity. I like that I can wear them with skinny jeans to try and dress them up, or with leggings for walking the dog on the beach or in the rain. I’m usually a size 9.5 so I purchased the size 10. They’re a bit big, even with a thick sock, but I think sizing down would be too small. Even though they’re a tad large for my feet, I still find them comfortable and recommend them. I love the octopus print and receive lots of compliments on these boots!

Do not buy!

I am born and raised in Alaska and have worn XTRATUF boots my whole life. I recently bought a pair and am so upset about the quality. I took them to Nome and used them for walking around but the outer rubber started wearing out at the creases and... my feet got wet! I wore them for one month and they did not hold up. Please fix this!

Better then Beans

Bought in Maine before a trip to AK in July! I was unfamiliar with brand or Salmon Sisters. Best boots EVER!! Comfy, warm, dry, skidproof! (Shhh, I wear them more then my LLBean boots!)

Big women's feet

I love these boots. I truly do. I think they're worth the price, and I've been lusting over them for years. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because they don't come in half sizes, and I literally have the largest size available in women's and could use something narrow but ever so slightly longer, so men's won't work. I will survive, though. Just like these boots. I typically wear between a 10 1/2 and 11 in women's, across all brands. I got the 11 women's and they are snug. I'm not sure I could wear a thick pair of wool socks over at 12 hour workday and still be comfortable long-term, but I use them recreationally so no big deal.

No half sizing is unfortunate

I wanted these boots because of the great reviews and adorable print. Unfortunatly they do not come in a half size. I'm a size 9 normally in shoes. The size 9 works in the heel but the toe box is tight with midweight socks (which in Oregon where I'm from I'll most likely need warmer socks). The size 10 has more room in the toes but the heel is too loose for me and I think it will rub or become noticeable with any type of walking a couple blocks. I really tried to talk myself into these because I love the design, comfort, and print but the lack of half sizes doesn't work for me.

6 years and still going!

I have had these boots for six years now and they are still the most durable and long-wearing shoes I own next to my Sorel snow boots. They have lived in western Washington, Idaho, Canada, and Colorado with me and still have the same comfort, water protection, and sole integrity as when I first got them. Have nothing but positive things to say about XTRATUF boots.

Extremely disappointed in these flimsy boots

My partner has the men's version of these boots and thinks they're fine, so I was looking forward to getting my own pair and taking them into the field. I am so disappointed in the quality of these boots, especially compared to the men's boots. They are noticeably thinner and flimsy in comparison, and didn't feel like they'd last more than one day in the field. I could feel small sticks and twigs poking my feet as I walked. It seems like they made the women's version focused on fashion, with patterns on the interior, rather than on function, which is downright insulting as a woman who works outdoors. I plan to return these and look elsewhere - you should, too.
