The North Face  Freedom Insulated Snow Pants - Women's

I purchased these snow pants for winter activities with my child, including sledding and playing in the snow. In terms of insulation, they provided decent warmth during normal cold-weather use. However, in deeper snow and extended play, moisture began to come through the pants. There were no holes or tears, but after spending time sitting and moving in the snow, dampness was noticeable, which led to discomfort. For snow pants intended for winter conditions, I expected better waterproof performance, especially during typical snow play. I’m sharing this to help other parents make an informed decision when choosing snow pants for active use in the snow.

I bought a newer version of these to replace ones I've had for about 10 years. This version has been my tried and true favorite for years! I've had at least two pairs. This time, I sized up to allow for more room for heavier base layer. Unfortunately, the size large fit like my previous size mediums. They were tight in the hips and loose in the waist. The cinch is on the outside and I'd prefer that to be on the inside. The rise on these pants is lower and probably better suited for a gal younger than me! There are plusses. I love the multiple pockets and zips to dump heat on a bluebird day. The zips have a light layer when opened so your legs are not completely exposed. The cargo pocket is perfect for extra glove warmers or a phone.

The fit is true to size. This snow pant is a lot like the Sally snow pants except you can adjust the waist. I like the color pattern because I can match the purple and light green with my different ski jackets. This pant does not have the hooks at the bottom to attach the pant leg to your snowboard boot string. I have not worn these pants snow boarding yet because I bought them at the end of the season. I really think I will love these pants because they are so much like the Sally and I have had my Sally snow pants for at least 8 seasons.

The pants look great for skiing and have smart tech on them. I am 5'10 and unfortunately there was no way for me to even squat or bend over in these pants. I went up a size to see if that would help and it was still to short in the bottom area. I had to return them.

Great construction. Nice pockets. But these run pretty small. I’m 5’2” and 108 pounds. The small short were… close. Doable. But not a lot of give. Re-ordering in the medium

I really appreciate that these pants are inclusive of shorter people. The fit is comfortable and well-proportioned without needing alterations, which is hard to find in snow pants. They provide good warmth and functionality for winter activities. Overall, I am very happy with them and will definitely look into repurchasing in the future.

These are very well made and warm pants, but they are cut very large in the waist and very long. I am 5'5" and had to return them.

These are warm and durable. I love the adjustable waste and the pant leg that fits inside outside a boot.

These pants are exactly what I was looking for for my next snowboarding trip, warm and durable.
