Great, but not an activewear

I have bought mine 2 years ago and I love it. Maybe a little bit too much, so I have used it on spring/autumn hikes as well. Guess I shouldn't have as the fabric started to tear in several places under the armpits, probably due to the extensive friction. Real shame, I really wanted to get some more use out of them. I will probably try to sew the holes up myself and I'm hoping based on my review the next version of wool sweaters will have some strengthened fabric or some kind of improvement. That being said, I will happily buy again.

Warm and beautiful

[Review for Ovik Folk Knit Sweater in Dark Grey] This woolen Nordic-themed holiday sweater is a classic. The repetitive folkloric pattern is sophisticated and detailed but true in spirit to traditional knit patterns. Note this is not a tightly knit sweater (I'd call it "medium" knit). Being 100% wool, do not tumble dry. I've hand-washed to date, and the sweater holds its shape well as it dries. Overall: high quality, festive, and very warm. Love mine and look forward to seeing what new patterns Fjallraven has next year!

Beautiful, but breakable

When I bought this sweater I was really happy. The Ovik Knit looked like amazing! And it really is! But, after 1 month I saw a hole under an elbow. I fixed it. After 8 months I noticed 3 holes on my chest! I don’t understand: I spent a lot of money to have a sweater that I was sure to endure. But it’s not so…. This is really depressing! The sweater is amazing but really breakable!!!!! I think that you can find better sweater on the market, also cheaper!

My most favourite jumper ever

Great piece of clothing. Been wearing it practically everyday for long dog walks during cold days, very comfortable, keeps you warm without overheating. I have even foolishly been out for a long walk before reading the weather forecast and got caught in long rain and sleet shower. After shaking like my dogs, water drops “shakes” off the jumper and I surprisingly stayed dry !! Expensive purchase but worth every penny

Overall happy

This is a comfortable sweater and fits well. 6’1 size large. My only complaint is that the reinforced elbow patches are positioned above my elbows. I believe the area most prone to wear would be on and below the elbow, rather than above. Not a big deal though.

Warm and comfortable but poor elasticity

I got cuffs so baggy that they’re like wizard’s sleeves after just 1 day of wearing and briefly rolling up to the elbow. Otherwise very warm, comfortable and surprisingly wind resistant. The cuff elasticity issue is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Warm and cozy

This is the best knitwear I've ever owned, yet. Comfortable, warms up and vent extra heat and sweat out just as fast. As a middle layer under a hardshell jacket, handles moving around in very cold weather very well. A must have

Looks good but rubbish

Great when new but it shrunk in the wash in spite of following the care label and eventually fell apart. Had to sew up the armpits and the elbow cuffs before eventually giving up trying to keep it going.

Warm Durable

The sweater kept me warm on a leisurely cross-country ski romp after our first snow. It will also be my choice of overwear for Christmas this year!

Warm Dry

Warm for those frigid winter nights, and dry when worn over a base layer for outdoor excursions for firewood or just a jaunt around the ski track.
