more green grey than brown
A bit disappointed bc I expected a brown tone when I ordered "quarry" color.
Brown is not brown!
This usually doesn’t bother me very much but when I opened the box I was shocked at how different the color was compared to the website photos. I even checked if they sent me the wrong one! It’s more of a green/grey brown than the teddy bear brown you see in the photo. I loved the style and comfort of the boot, but I was so thrown off that I exchanged them for the black. I wish this came in more colors...
Not for skinny ankles
These are super cute boots, I ordered them in the black, and liked the subtle two tone coloring. I'm usually between a 9 1/2 and a 10, so I ordered the 10s so I could wear thicker socks with them. The boots themselves fit really well, however I have skinny legs and ankles, and the opening at the top was just too big & wide around my ankles. They looked weird so unfortunately I had to return them, but the return was super easy and I'm trying another style instead!
Narrow
I ordered a half size up, as recommended by other reviews, but even after doing this I found these boots to be quite narrow, squeezing my toes even with thin socks. My feet are not typically in need of wide shoes, so this came as a surprise. I can tell these would also require quite a bit of breaking in to be comfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a stylish boot I could wear out during colder weather (instead of snow boots) And purchased these. I would say these are true to size; I am a true size 7 but after reading reviews, I purchased 1/2 size up (7.5) to leave room for thicker socks when I wear them during snowy/colder weather in Massachusetts. At first, they were tight fitting near arch, but after about 2 wears, they are easier to get on and not as tight. Very roomy toward front of boot. Comfortable. The top (opening near ankles )is wide; although I would prefer a smaller Opening so there wouldn’t be big a gap between boot and leg.
Your Favorite Boot
These are some very comfy and fashionable boot! They're absolutely waterproof, easy to get on and off and hardly need to be "broken in". [Obviously the last part will differ from person to person]. Just a note these boots aren't as brown as they are in the picture, I knew that because I had compared all the different colors directly on Sorel's website (would recommend doing). I think they are amazing and will last me lifetime (hopefully). As long as price isn't an issue, then you should definitely invest!
Quarry color is green
Just opened the box and the "Quarry" color is not at all the lovely brown I see in the photo online. The color is much more of a muted, gray/moss green. The boots seem comfortable (trying them in my house) but seem to rub against the inside of my ankle. The reviews were so positive and the sale price was great - I wanted to love them! If I decide to they're okay comfort-wise, I will probably exchange the Quarry color for the black.
survived Seattle rain!
These boots are some of the best I have bought in a long time! They kept my feet totally dry when we received over 3 inches of rain in Seattle in a day and I had to spend way to much time outside. My friends leather Frye boots were destroyed but my Sorel's looked like nothing had happened. I'm definitely sticking with Sorel!
color is different than pictured
Great boots, but I bought them online and they are way more grey than they look in the picture.
beautiful and functional booties
Sorel boots have proven to be comfortable, stylish and functional; however, I recommend sizing up 1/2 size for fit. These were too tight in my regular size 6 so went up 1/2 size and they fit.
