SUPER comfy, but not long lasting

LOVE these shoes, they are SO comfy, easy to break in, provide amazing support and overall look good too! Only issue, I don't run much, usually just long walks and do strength training in them. I've been wearing them for about 3 months and the stitching is already coming apart :/ I'd say they have maybe 2-3 more months left in them, making it 6 months total. Not sure the price is worth 6 months of use. Bummer, cause I really do love them.

Super cute, good for runners

This shoe is super cute and very comfortable for the most part, the only thing is that it seems definitely good for runners but not for speed walkers like myself. The front part/toe area is a little too curved making my toes curl upward more than they naturally do, so by the end of the day (I wear these all day while working in the medical field) my toes hurt pretty bad. Maybe I just need some thing a little more flat footed. I believe for runners this is not a big deal since you’re going back-and-forth from toe to heal while running but for walkers this is not really the case. Nonetheless this is a great quality shoe and I would still recommend.

Very disappointed - limited edition

I have been a long-time Ghost fan. They are the only running shoes I wear. I was excited to see the limited edition version in the Ghost 12 and bought the vanilla sprinkles model. Only 1/2 mile into my first run the laces on my left shoe came untied (and that was after I had double-knotted them based on other reviews). I tightened the laces enough to triple-knot them and my feet started feeling constricted. After spending the amount of money I did to purchase these, they should have no issues. I can’t believe they got through quality control. Very disappointed. They look adorable, but that’s not going to help for my 16-miler this weekend.

I have been buying and loving my "Brooks" shoes for the past 7 years. I'm not a runner, but have walked several miles a day over the years. My favorites have been "waterproof." This year, I purchased the "ghost waterproof" option first - but unfortunately...they felt stiff, my toes were numb after the walk, and they made a "farting sound" as I walked around the house. I returned them and got the the ghost 12 instead. I really like the fit and look - but of course, I wish they were waterproof. I wish that I had bought 2 o3 3 pairs of the the 2017 waterproof version! Do you have any of those lying around that you could pass along to me?

2nd pair issues

2nd pair in a row with issues. As soon as I examined it after removing from the box, I noticed the outsole bit that comes up over the toe area in the front was not glued well / has a gap where it meets the fabric. Time will tell if it comes apart as a result. Last pair (and I do give them credit, though for eventually agreeing to replace) was the fabric having multiple holes / tearing around the collar. I walk about 12-14 miles per week. So just moderate exercise. Shoes were well taken care of. Just realizing that while they are an awesome fit and are very light and comfortable, for the price they should be inspected better before sending out.

Little Balls of Cloth

My review is mixed. I recently bought a new pair of Brooks Ghost as I already had an older pair and really loved them. However, my issue is really about the older pair. The reason I had to purchase a new pair is because the inside of the older shoe, the material on the sole, kept forming these tiny little balls. I would have to stop every 15-20 minutes, remove my shoe, find the ball, pull it out. Initially I thought I was getting little pebbles in my shoes, but after finally taking the time to look, it was the inside of the shoe breaking down. Since that was my first pair of Brooks that's really all I have to go on. So not overly impressed at this time.

Nice and comfortable shoe

I am not a runner, but like to wear running shoes for walking. In previous years I've worn Adrenalins, but the recent ones (last and this year) just didn't fit right. I decided to give the Ghosts a try. I find them very comfortable to walk in, although they were too narrow in the normal (wide) size I order for running/walking shoes. Interestingly, every now and then my toes try to go to sleep. That has never happened with the Adrenalins, so I will see whether it was just an adjustment problem, or a recurring one. All in all I am happy with my purchase. And if there were more color choices for wide shoes, it would be even better.

NOT A GOOD CHANGE

I have purchased ghost shoes for about 5 years now. The 12's are extremely painful. They now are shorter..narrower in the width and toe bed and it feels like my arch has a fist pressing upwards. If this doesnt get changed back to the comfortable shoe I know, I wont be purchasing again. I had to return this shoe bc I could only wear it for 10 minutes and my foot ached for 20 min afterwards like it had been contorted. What is happening? I have always purchased a 7 medium but it felt like a 6 and narrow. I tried the levitates and couldnt stand how that cupped my heel and they also felt small and inappropriately sized. Just awful.

Ghost

I really like the Ghost. I am a frequent Brooks purchaser and own almost every neutral shoe that they offer. They are all great, but every style has its pros and cons. I truly enjoy the Ghost, but I’d say it’s the bulkiest shoe that I own. Definitely not one I wear to the gym. I wear shoe size 8, but in Brooks always wear 8.5. In the Ghost I had to size up to 9. Wide toe box but the rounded front makes them feel short. I highly recommend ghost for comfort, but I’d have to say my overall holy grail is still the Glycerine. Extreme comfort, less bulk than the Ghost. More versatile, I can wear it from running, to the gym, to work.
