Should be considered a slim fit
I have other north face jackets, quarter zips and full zips. In other “standard” fitting jackets of theirs I am a medium and in the “slim” fit I am a large. I decided to order this in a medium and that was a mistake. There was no room to move around in it and the arms we almost skin tight where as the other standard fit jackets I have have a couple inches of room. Will be exchanging and hoping the large is roomier. It’s a jacket that you’re supposed to layer on top of things, it shouldn’t be this slim fitting. The fur itself is pretty soft though and I appreciate that it is both on the inside and outside of the jacket unlike the similar Patagonia jacket that has a scratching almost waterproof material on the inside.

SHEDS LIKE CRAZY
I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this one needed to be done. I have ordered this jacket on THREE (!!!) separate occasions, believing that the one I bought before was just defective. I wanted to like this jacket so bad, but the shedding is genuinely a nightmare. I tried to stick it out all three times, washing it over and over again hoping the shedding would eventually stop. Nope. The fuzz gets on all your clothes so don’t even think about washing it with anything else. And if you anticipate taking this jacket off in public at any point, forget it. The amount of fuzz that comes off underneath is embarrassing. I’ve spent MUCH more time than I would like to admit lint rolling my clothes because of this jacket. I wasted my time so you don’t have to. Seriously, 0/10.

Best fleece ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Osito Jacket it's perfect to wear alone, when the day it's not very cold, and even more perfect to wear as a second layer when it's very cold. I loved this jacket, it's the most fluffy and soft fleece ever. And it's so beautiful! I loved it so much that I bought another color later! It would be even more perfect if it were windproof, but besides that, you will not regret it. The size is perfect. I use size M, height 5.24", weight 123 lbs, bra size 36B.

In Love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this jacket and the cranberry color. I get a lot of compliments on it. I'm 5'0" with a 34DD bust and I can make small or medium work. I dried my medium in a bright green color and it shrunk a tiny bit and changed the texture of the fuzz. I like the fit better but the fuzzy material didn't look quite as nice. The cranberry one I have babied. It is a small and has a snug but comfortable fit--just how I like it. I get a lot of compliments. I don't put this one in the dryer. The fuzz has held up very well and looks the same as when I bought it. I wear it to work as a nurse and feel professional. I also will wear them as a lighter weight jacket if 35 degrees or above.

Fur-like material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been eyeing this jacket for quite some time. I finally pulled the trigger but was a little taken aback when I unboxed it. The material is not the super soft fleece. It's more like a "fur" (IMO). It is still super soft and warm and I like it. I does "shred" a little, so be careful what you wash it with.

You gotta have this piece in warerobe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear this jacket everyday because it goes with everything. It feel like velvet and the black logo make it look sleeker. I even wore it with a dress and it look so good. I wear a large but ordered an xlarge to be able to layer underneath. It's Perfect! & & & this style jacket is kinda sexy;)

Warm and cozy!

I bought this jacket (not at REI, sorry) on sale thinking I was just getting a good deal, but this has turned out to be one of the best buys I've ever made! Not only is it incredibly cozy, but it has kept me warm on many a freezing cold Wyoming day this winter! It has pretty much replaced my winter jacket, and I wear it everywhere. It does pill a bit, which is a bummer, but I deal with that as a trade off for the warmth. I only wish my size was available in maroon.

Best Investment and Soft

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to buy 2. Both were in vibrant colors, Red and Purple, to match my personality. Being fleece gave me warmth and comfort and it's soft. Many compliments!
