Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Well made and stylish jacket
This jacket is, as all REI products, very well made. There are flaps everywhere to help keep the cold out, under the zipper, at the neck, even at the zippered hand pockets. I love the color. It is called “Frosted Meadow”, but I would call it a medium sage color, it goes with everything. I received it after the snow had left our mountains, so I had to get creative to test it in the cold. —I first tried a convenience store, but due to a language barrier, they didn’t understand what I wanted. They did, however, complement the jacket and asked if if could get them one. I ended up going into the beer fridge that was 30 deg F, and being down, it “breathed” and was comfortable, not too warm. —Next I went to the grocery store where I shop, and they let me in the walk-in freezer, set at 0 deg F. My body was very comfortable, but I wish I had a hat. The only thing that I would like to see in this type of jacket would be a chest or upper arm pocket to hold a phone or other music player. But this jacket was meant to be a basic jacket, and it did its job well.
Great day to day down jacket!
I bought this exactly a year ago. Our family is a Patagonia devotee and my husband and kids have the puffers however I didn’t want to spend the money since I have a rain jacket, all day jacket, etc. I got this on sale and it’s been awesome. I’m 5’6, 140 and got the medium and it’s great because I have room to layer. I have washed it plenty of times and don’t leave it too long in the dryer (sometimes I pull it out damp and let it air dry). The only thing that has begun to happen is one of the stitches have opened up and I just tied it together and cut any loose strands. I use it for cold day hikes, have used it in the snow, it’s my go to jacket. I gave it 4 stars because it is starting to show some signs of wear and tear which our other downs haven’t but I would still buy another one in a heartbeat!
Lightweight, Packable, & Stylish
First impressions are that this will be a great jacket. It weighs nothing and packs down so small. I have the gold and am in love with the color. I'm 5'4", 120lbs and thought the small fit well. There is enough room to wear a large sweatshirt underneath without it getting too tight but it is not too baggy or bulky. Nice large, inner and outer pockets are a plus. It breathes well which will be perfect for hiking in cooler temps. I haven't been able to put this to a true weather test with it being the middle of summer right now, but think it will be a great everyday jacket for when the temperatures drops in a couple of months.
Sweet packable down jacket
Great fitting puffy jacket that turned out to be easily packable for my running kit, the puffy easily packs into one of the pockets and can be stuffed into your back pack to keep you warm during early morning runs or hikes. Loved the mountain theme on the inside of the jacket and the large "storage" pockets on the inside of the jacket. I know they are not designed directly for storage but love having some where to safely drop my "stuff" next to my body.
Down filling sheds LIKE CRAZY
I'm really not sure how this jacket has so many positive reviews. It has shed significantly each time I've worn it, and whatever I'm wearing beneath ends up covered in tiny white feathers. I don't mean a few feathers here and there that are easily removed. For reference, it takes me 2 lint roller sheets to clear my under shirt/sweater each time (see attached image). Do. Not. Recommend.
Awesome coat.
Recently moved down south and was dying in my heavy Colombia jacket, only had that and a hoodie. Needed something in the middle and this is it. I’m 5’6 and 118. I wanted the medium for arm length but the waist bulged out on me and it wouldn’t be warm. Kind of hit my chest and went straight down. So I went with a small. Arms DO fit but I do like long arms. It fits though. It’s warm without being overbearing like a heavy jacket and it’s crazy soft. I really love it. Saw a similar jacket in store for 239. I tried it on and didn’t like it as much as this one. The black is a matte black. Super nice.
Worst REI branded product I have bought
This jacket sheds like no other down jacket I've ever owned. I thought maybe it was something that would settle down as I wore it more, but it actually got worse. Every time I wear it, when I take it off, if I am not wearing white or a light colour so you can't see all the feathers, I always get comments on the feathers all over my clothes. It's so sad because I always had faith in REI branded products but now I don't really trust the quality - it's been embarrassing and I can only wear the jacket now when I know I am not going to have to take it off at any point or when I am wearing white.
I feel like I'm molting!
The jacket is warm, fits nicely, and packs small as advertised. However, every time I wear it and then take it off, whatever I'm wearing underneath is COVERED in down. It's quite embarrassing actually. I constantly have to use a lint roller on my clothes. There are even feathers in my car! I feel like I leave a trail everywhere I go. I've included a photo of a black sweatshirt I wore for about an hour with the jacket on top. If you zoom in, you can see what I've been dealing with.
Didn’t survive its first wash
I had bought this for Arizona “winter”, because some mornings are just cold enough (30-40 F) that I needed something a little heavier than what I owned. I put the jacket in for its first wash (all zippers zipped, put near the bottom of the load to protect it) and one of the sleeves still somehow ripped during a Delicate cycle. It’s a shame since the price was decent compared to all other brands and the weight was perfect for what I needed. I guess next time I’ll pay the extra money to get something more sturdy that won’t shred in its first wash.
Love this jacket
I’ve had this jacket for about 8 months. I’ve taken it to Colorado and Alaska in the winter and wore it all winter in Kentucky. It is very warm, extremely light weight and all though it doesn’t seem Very durable it still hasn’t ripped despite going through many tall thorny areas. It has some feather shedding but nothing major it is still very full after months or consistent use. Fit very nicely. I got a medium. I’m 5’3 and 170lbs.
