Great bag creation with options not mentioned
This bag do what is advertised and more. North Face didn't mention you can take it apart into three pieces and have three individual bags. Very pleased for what I purchased it for, but happy to have other options. For individual summer weight, the bottom or blue sections are light enough and pack small enough to backpack and have a lightweight rectangular bag for those of us who don't like the tight mummy bags.

unwieldy packing size
First, a previous review still on this site is misleading, as the bags do NOT zip completely apart. That was one of the reasons I chose this bag. I had thought we could use them as separate bags in the future, a real plus. Perhaps I should have read all of the Qs and As in addition, but I think a review that states incorrect product information should be removed or a correction added. Also, the specs say that the compressed size is "unavailable," which is ridiculous, because rolled up into the sack provided it can easily be measured at 14" X 20" perhaps less than twice the diameter of two 40-degree bags rolled together, but pretty unwieldy for packing. There's really no "compression" further than the size of the bag provided.

A dream bag for car camping

Ingenious design and high-quality construction. Truly three great bags in one. The outer blue bag works well as a comforter in a chilly bedroom. Both bags together was almost too warm in camp as temps dropped to the upper 20'sF. I'm 6'6" and completely fit with room to spare. In the stuff sack it's bulky, but it's not designed for backpacking. For car camping it's basically perfect, a true 3-season bag

Warm and comfortable!

My partner and I LOVE this sleeping bag for car camping trips. We have found it to be warm and cozy, even on our February camping trips in Colorado. The layers are brilliant and easy to swap out. We have even used an unzipped layer as an extra blanket. The materials are high-quality and comfortable. This is definitely a car camping bag as it is pretty bulky, even when packed. But it is the perfect item for a car camping couple, and could definitely be used long term for overlanding or RV camping, too!

All the layers zip off

Unlike one review said they don’t all zip off- this is incorrect as they do all unzip. It is basically 3 blankets zipped together that you can unzip and interchange. Awesome bag and covers a Queen size bed. Very impressed as you can even unzip one layer and use it as a blanket in the tent or where have you.

Quite Comfortable

Roomy enough for two 6 ft, 250 lbs adults who turn over a lot to sleep comfortably. Full zippers on both sides make it easy for us to get up independently. The full bag kept us very warm in a 6 person tent (LOTS of empty space) when the temperature got down to the mid-30's.

cuddles > no cuddles

So far I have only used this in warm (40+ F) weather, but it was very comfy. The yellow layer was easy to remove and reattach. For car camping it is less bulky than 2 separate sleeping bags. This also solved the problem of me pushing my boyfriend off his sleeping pad in the night when I try to steal some body heat.

Awesome Sleeping Bag! Very versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the regular length bag and I'm 5'4, covers up past my head if I wanted it to. The sleeping bag is very warm and spacious for two. Used all of the layers of the sleeping bag with a sleeping pad rated at 4.3 r value in low 40 degree weather and it was warm all night. I didn't get too hot at any point even with sharing the bag with another person. I'd like to try it out in even colder temperatures. Best feature is you can unzip all of the layers and create 3 individual single sleeping bags even though the layers are different thicknesses and warmth levels. You can still utilize it as 3 separate sleeping bags for 3 people.

Perfect

We live in the desert, so the climate is variable - plus - we are a couple -nice to pack one bag per - so we can go out in the heat - light covering and add or subtract layers as we need. The zippers seem strong and the use seems easy even for me who is a little slow with mechanics. :)

Great and very versatile!

This was great. It provides a lot of warmth but let's you regulate it by changing layers. It's not very heavy and it packs very well. Will be buying another one for the family.
