Broke After 3 Uses
I only used the pump 2 times successfully. The 3rd time I tried to use it, I heard a pop and it no longer worked and I was left stranded with my inflatable kayak. Everyone seems to love this pump and maybe I got a bad one, but that failure on a new product really left me in an unexpected bad position.
Know the difference between the Super and Super 2
Beware that the Super 2 does NOT have deflate capability. The dual high volume-low pressure and low volume-high pressure switch removes the deflate capability of the NRS Super.
Quit working after less than 20 uses
We received this pump with our $1k+ NRS SUP. After less than 10 uses it started breaking and after the next 10 it's pretty much non-functional. Very disappointing I have to go buy another one now but I'm not paying for this one!
This is a large and quick inflator, excellent
Excellent pump for large inflatables. We are using it to inflate 2, 13' -38" wide fishing kayaks. I do not understand the negative reviews. We use an electric pump to start inflation and finish off w/ this. The gauge seems to be very accurate, important as over inflation is the biggest killer on these kayaks. Much better than the Sea Eagle pump we have.
Great Pump
Works great on our inflatable tandem kayak. Much better than the foot pump that came with it.
Returning
Was not easy to pump an inflatable SUP after about 8 psi, and by the time I reached 13 psi I heard hissing from the connection at the board. Stopped pumping and unscrewed valve from board. The attachment piece stayed connected to the board and the board commenced deflating!!!
Bad design
The cheap looking pump came with my inflatable SUP finally broke after 6 years of use. I purchased this one last week and the adaptor broke at my first use. The little 2 stick out plastics on the side of adaptor are too fragile and broke when I try to tighten against SUP's intake. This is very bad design.
Great mid size pump.
I use this to top off my 12' four person raft. It would work very well to do the entire job, but I use a Lowes battery blower to get the tubes up to 0.5 pound of pressure. It's as big as I would like to take with me on the river. The gauge is not useful for only two pounds of pressure.
Our pump broke after 7 years
Have a backup plan - our pump broke after 70 uses. Its a bad day then as you cannot go kayaking. These pumps are not durable.
Works just like we hoped for-fast and easy.
this has been used about six times now to air up our kayak and also a float tube and has been very fast and esy to use. I did read all the negtive reviews, hope this one continues to work so well.
