Quality sun glasses for adventuring
I'm a big fan of these polarized sunnies! As a hiker, sailor, outdoor educator, and all-around adventurer, these sunglasses have served me well. They sit nicely on my face, are super lightweight and durable, and are easy to clean. I carry them around in my backpack that I bring to work every day & haven't had any scratching. Quality sun protection is critical when I'm sailing & these are great- they stay firmly on my face when I'm moving around the boat and they don't hurt at the end of a long day on the water (I've had to ditch other glasses for these reasons in the past). Lastly, I took these on a bike trip to a tulip festival a few weeks ago, and, oh man, the colors looked even better with these on.
Reliable sunglasses
I've worn these sunglasses for a few weeks on adventures to the backcountry of Big Bend National Park, inner-city adventures in Austin, TX, and on various trails in Minnesota. They've worked well while hiking and paddle-boarding, staying on well in windy conditions and not significantly altering the coloration of the world around me, despite the blue lens color. The lens refraction and coloration did cause a distracting blue/purple sheen in my peripheral vision while driving across Texas, but I haven't noticed it as much in the last week in MN. I'm not sure if my eyes are adjusting to it, or if it was a combination of the glasses and the color of the surrounding country-side. Regardless, it's distracting enough while driving that I'm not sure if I'll bring these along on future trips requiring significant driving time through endless rolling plains. Now for the most important part of a sunglasses review, personally -- the sizing. (For reference, typically the standard freebie sunglasses are just a bit too tight on my noggin for extended, day-long wearing.) These glasses were a bit too tight in the first week of use, but they've stretched a bit and no longer leave the tops of my ears sore after a day of wear. The bag they're packaged in is discrete and small, with nice loops that I hooked onto my pack for safe-keeping while backpacking. It's worked well to clean sunscreen and other smudges off the lenses.
They make the sky look more blue.
I have white hair so these glasses really set off a great look. I wear them with my blue parka and I get smiles for miles, even from people I don't know. They have great energy. The lens does not distort, I can look into a sunset without squinting, the sky really does look one shade deeper blue. They are light weight and sturdy. The lenses clean up very well and are not prone to scratching. They really are one of my very favorite sunglasses. I get so many compliments. I received the product in return for an honest review. I would have bought them anyway.
Awesome sunnies!
I bought this as my first pair of polarised sunglasses and so far, I love them! Great looking frames, design, and functionality. Only con is the width is slightly too narrow for my temples so it does start to hurt a bit after wearing them for a long time so if you have a wider face, these may not be the best frames for you. I bought the pink frame and like the colour and dark opaque lenses.
