Features

  • Exkin Platinum fabric and Thermolite insulation combine to prevent radiant and convective heat loss, keeping you comfortable on cool nights
  • 3.8 R-value means this insulated mat is suitable for 3-season use; most sleeping pads we sell range in R-value from 1.0 (minimally insulated) to 9.5 (well insulated)
  • Single-layer Air Sprung Cells™ support your weight with dozens of tiny flexing points rather than a few large chambers, so you won't bottom out if you roll on your side
  • Liquid thermoplastic urethane (TPU) lamination provides a stronger, more consistent bond than traditional roll-to-roll film lamination, virtually eliminating delamination
  • Antimicrobial treatment is added to the TPU to prevent mold issues caused by warm, moist air trapped inside the mat
  • Multifunction valve allows quick inflation, deflation and fine-tuning of air pressure
  • Airstream Pump is integrated into the base of the stuff sack for easy inflation
  • 40-denier ripstop nylon face fabric offers the right balance between weight and durability
  • Includes repair kit with 6 self-adhesive patches for fixing punctures in the field, plus a spare silicone one-way valve insert
  • For extended storage, the mat should be laid flat, folded as few times as possible with valve open

Very comfortable

I bought this sleeping mat in hopes that it would be more comfortable than my previous one and it definitely did the trick. The blow up feature is super easy and doesn't take much time or breath. It was also really comfortable to lay on, even on my side. It also is very light. It almost feels like carrying a feather. It isn't the smallest packed but the lightness makes up for it. FYI, I am 5'2" and 120 so the regular worked well for me, but it wouldn't work well for someone who is over 5'5" I would say. It's just not very long. I was super happy with my purchase though and can't wait to have a good night's sleep on it again.

Love how small and light it is

This is my first sleep mat. I chose this one due to the weight and packed down size vs. R-value, as I wanted it for backpack camping. It does pack down very small in comparison to my boyfriends sleep mat, however the downsides to this is that it is less warm and thinner. I try to sleep on my back, but often end up on my side and can definitely feel the ground. I also recently used it on a camping trip where the temperatures got down to around 10 degrees at night and I was freezing! This mat also makes a lot of sound if you move around in your sleep. It is super easy and quick to inflate, no need to blow into it!

Summer pad

This pad is much more comfortable than I expected for a pad this thin. I've used it in a tent, a bug bivy, and my hammock so far and it is very comfortable. One of my favorite features It is easy to inflate with the end of the storage sack. I appreciate the repair items that were included. I only used this in warm weather so I cant speak to how it performs as insulation, but it provides a lot of comfort from the ground.

Leak on first trip

Disappointed. - Hole - Bought this year and took on the JMT this summer. The pad only made it about 15 days before a hole developed. I was cautious and even had a closed foam pad underneath (both in attempts to prevent a hole and for heat because temps were as low as 20F during the trip). For an $160 pad I expected better quality and durability. I have an old Nemo pad which was significantly cheaper and I held up for over 8 years, will likely go back to that company. - Noise is present but not horrible 3/5 - Does inflate quick and easily with the pump sac. - Kept me warm up to about 45 degrees. (Was NOT warm enough once temps dropped below 40s) - Sizing: 5'4" and the 66 in was a perfect length

Excellent Pad, Good Value

I bought this pad for an upcoming thru-hike to replace a heavier Therm-A-Rest Prolite Women's pad I carried previously. I was looking for a new pad which was both lightweight and had a reasonably warm R-value. With a 3.8 R-value and approximately 15 oz, at the $130 price point, I decided to give it a try. I have not given it a field test yet, but have tested the comfort and was pleased at how comfortable I felt on my side. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn it came with not only a stuff sack, but one that has an attached inflation valve to help air up the mattress. The mattress valve is also compatible with the Sea to Summit Aero pillow, so you can attach them and prevent slipping at night, which was an added bonus I had no idea about! I'm excited to give it a try, because I happen to own that pillow. Pros: Good R-value & weight for the price, cheaper than competitors for similar specs, comfortable on side, comes with stuff sack, cool feature allowing attachment of compatible pillow to prevent slipping. Cons: None so far. Other comments: The true test for me will be how well this pad holds up in the field, i.e.--will it be durable and reliably stay inflated/resist leaks when used repeatedly in the outdoors for a thru-hike. I can't wait to put it to the true test!

Great pad

I have had this pad and have used it for over 600 miles backpacking so far and it has been very reliable. I have had zero issues. It is easy to inflate using the bag that comes with it and deflates as soon as you pull the plug. I have also slept down to teens on it with my quilt and have been warm. The only downside would be it makes some noise when moving about, but that does not bother me at all. I have not used the patch kit that came with it because it has never had a leak or hole, so it is very durable. I purchased the large for more room on the pad, and it still fits in my one person tent. Love this pad and see many people constantly upgrading their gear to be lighter, but I am sticking with this pad as long as it holds true.

A comfy backcountry setup for a side sleeper

Not too noisy, not crunchy sounding like another ultralight air mattress that I have used in the past. It was relatively quiet and quite comfortable for a 6 day backpacking trip for work in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. I love that it's really quick to inflate with the bag system and the pillow lock setup is really great. In the past, with inflatable mattresses, whatever item that was used as a pillow would often simply migrate away as the night continued. It's an ingenious setup and I really like it a lot. I definitely needed to inflate it all the way or else my side would touch the ground and I would wake up really sore. I'll keep it around for bikepacking and whatever other backpacking I get into! Let's hope it lasts a long time because it's really nice! Thanks!

Compact, light, and easy to use

I chose this pad because it was rated as one of the top 10 products for 'best sleeping pads for women' on Outdoor Gear Lab. I wanted to optimize for weight and this pad met my needs. I love that the pad is easy to inflate using the stuff sack as the inflator pump - it helps me blow less of my own germs/moisture into the pad if I don't have to put my mouth on it. It's a pretty thin pad but I don't have any issue of feeling the ground when I lie down on it and the 'air sprung cells' are pretty comfortable since it's more flexible than a flat inflated pad. I've tried other inflated pads that make a lot of noise whenever I roll to my side but this one is not that noticeable. The color on of the actual product is more of a bright salmon pink than what's in the photo.

Pretty decent...

I used this air sleeping pad in March in southern Utah canyons. During this 18 day backpacking trip, inflating, deflating, and rolling up almost daily, it served its purpose. We basically experienced al 4 seasons during this trip. Lol! The only qualm was that I’m a wild sleeper and my feet kept falling off the bottom. I probably should’ve gotten a large or a rectangular sleeping pad. This is the first one I’ve ever bought and was borrowing the extremely uncomfortable foam pads prior. So this was a huge upgrade.

Phenomenal Sleeping Mat

I took this mat with me on my 16-day John Muir Trail hike and it kept my warm, supported my back, and barely weighed anything at all in my backpack. I would heartily recommend this pad to anyone looking to go backpacking ultralight. I was a little worried at first because it seems like it might not be very hardy, but the JMT terrain is pretty rough and this mat simply holds up very well. I've taken it backpacking in CO as well, and it's absolutely what helps me sleep super well out in the woods.
